I would like to know of some shoujo manga where the male LEAD is a cute, childlike boy such as momiji souma from fruits basket, but instead of a side character, I want him as the lead. No yaoi, shounen ai. It must be male-female relationship. Personally I would prefer it's not a one shot. I would also prefer it's not shotacon, as I would not be asking this question if that were what I was after. I could not find what I was looking for in the cute male lead or childlike male lead categories, so I'm hoping someone can give me some insight. It seems to be sort of...something that doesn't get done much, from all the searching I've done and how it's turned up nothing but childish bishounen, shotas, and what I'm looking for except as a side character... ; u ;

Soredemo Sekai Wa Utsukushii - The male lead is a few years younger than the female but the gap is definitely not enough to be considered shotacon. It is a really lovely and heart warming story and it's getting an anime in the upcoming spring season 😀 . I hope you like it!

I was about to recommend you Dear Mine, MeruPuri and Boku no Chikyuu wo Mamotte, but they're kind of shotacon.

I can second Soredemo Sekai Wa Utsukushii. Maybe you could also try Otoyomegatari (it's seinen) from Mori Kaoru.

i think Beast Master fit. the male MC character is so pure and child like. im sure you will love it.
