I wanna know...
why is it so hard to kiss the person you like after you're already going out/dating etc.
Why? is it embarrassing to kiss someone?

I'm waiting for Skip Beat to progress. It's been like 18 volumes, and she still hasn't even thought of liking Ren, at least Ren figured it out. No kiss, no action, no nothing, except for some hugs here and there. When will it finally happen!! 😔

At the moment, Beauty Pop is really starting to get on my nerves.
I mean, common, they said at the MU beauty pop- page that there's romance in it. Well, I haven't seen ANY romance.. So annoying.
I'm a sucker for love, really. There's got to be some romace in every manga I read. 🤨

ah yes i totally agree.in The Wallflower manga,it seems like its forever for the main leads to admit their feelings.its already chapter 78 yet .....i just cant wait for it to happen!i really hope there will be some form of development in the next chapters...
and in NANA,i really did wished that Hachiko will return to Nobu..but it's highly unlikely that will happen ...since Hachiko is so....
i guess that's what usually happens in very long mangas....have to be patient.. 😐

In regards to The Wallflower, that's one of the reasons why I stopped reading it (besides the terrible art). If they're not together by at least the fifth or sixth volume, then expect for the romance to be drawn out.

No offense, but people complaining about Vampire Knight, Beauty Pop, and the Wallflower have nothing on readers for Skip Beat! Skip Beat! is going on 20+ volumes and still no love confession, certainly no kiss, and all there's been is a hug and a couple of close encounters. At least in Vampire Knight, Yuuki KNOWS that she likes someone and we've gotten a kiss, an almost kiss, hugs, and some misleading hand holding, and it's only on Volume 9.

Beauty Pop isn't too long of a series either, and I've got a feeling that the romance will only really happen in the end, but with that type of female lead, it's pretty easy to guess that you won't get a typical romance. I mean does anyone see her going all girly girly and daydreaming about boys while blushing and holding hands? That's not really in her character.

That's why I've always liked Kare First Love so much. It's a great length, and we're past kissing halfway through the series. It was both sweet, charming and though it was predictable, it made up for it with nice storytelling.

Oh and NANA, I was the biggest Hachi x Nobu shipper, but I think I've about given up on their relationship. I've hoped for their reconciliation, but with the way things have gone in the last 7+ chapters, it's become somewhat apparent to me that they have little to no chance of getting together. But I would be happy if I were wrong.

Mine are Skip Beat (although it hasn't made me bored, I just REALLY want Ren to get together with Kyoko sometime), Beauty Pop: Stage 2, and Ouran High School Host Club (although this one is getting a little better with the romance)

None of these are ones I've stopped reading because there is slow romance because I love these manga, but I'm just waiting for some action.

Like in Skip Beat, Ren starts to realize his feelings during the Dark Moon chapters, but then later it goes into something different and now its focusing on Kyoko's acting skills...

The manga that kept me waiting the longest was Touch by Adachi. I think that it was something along the lines of 200 chapters before they put it all out in the open. And the start when the brother wanted in was seriously annoying.

They're totally spoiled by one shots. Semi-kidding, but I sympathize on the Skip Beat. That's one of the things that had me pulling my hair with HanaKimi, and I just read Hana Yori Dango and man 36 volumes of 1 step forward 2 back. Of course, I'm just happy it's shoujo and it'll get their eventually. Shounens with a hint of romance are far worse (Oh My Goddess being a prime example-it's been running for 20 years/36 volumes, is a romance comedy, and almost nothing).

I think Wallflower is particularly grating 'cause it also often feels like they're going backward, and the lack of plot just makes the lack of character development that much more blatant. It's an ongoing gag manga, which isn't a bad thing, but it gets old after a while.

Yah, Hana Kimi's romance was pretty drawn out, well the whole series was that way, but at least some of the gags and arcs kept the story going. I've never really been a fan of gender benders in truth (though OHSHC is one of my favorite mangas) and the whole thing about her secret identity grated on me. I won't even get into the ending because I'm pretty sure that it's probably one of the most disliked endings among shoujo fans. I still have to read Hana Yori Dango one of those days, but it's long and call me shallow, but I'm not really into the art.

Likewise, I sympathize with you and the shonens with a hint of romance, it's why I don't even read it 😀

Totally agreed. One of the many other reasons why I stopped reading. It's sad that it took until Volume 12 for me to realize it, but I've given up on it.

I stopped reading both skip beat and wallflower for the same reasons although skip beat was actually deccent the wallflower covers up the lack of actual development with its humour and as much as I do love and respect it if nothing happens in the next chapter I think I'll never bother reading it again. As for skip beat I think I stopped and forgot what chapter I was on but as nothings happened I doubt I'll pick it up till it finishes.I gave up hanakimi a looonnnnggg time ago and went for the drama options the same with hana yori which was wonderful!

I still have hope for nobu and hachi but after chapter 77 it appears ai yazawa is taking another break just when things got interesting! I vowed that if nana doesn't finish this year I'll stop reading it, the wait is always to long and the chapters have been a little well disappointing!

I can confirm that nothing is really going on with Skip Beat right now. A drawn out birthday party and Kyoko focusing on her acting. Bejesus, when I read some of the recent stuff, it makes me want to pull my hair out! I swear if we get some rushed ending like TCP then I swear I will learn Japanese just so that I can write a scathing letter to the mangaka.

Hana Kimi was nice, but the ending totally wasn't worth it considering the investment and time you put into reading the whole thing.

Wait, where did you read that Ai Yazawa was taking another break? HE double hockeysticks if its true. I love NANA so I know I'll continue to follow it regardless of how long it takes, but why another hiatus? There was that long 5 month wait and than that 2 month wait and now another one? I know I don't want it to end soon, but I find the breaks kind of ridiculous especially since we've had so many in the past year.

I do think that the chapters have really started to pick up with the exception of the last one. The Takumi/Reira thing and finally getting into the present have been some pretty good stuff. I just think we should get back to focusing on the main characters with less focus on Yuri, Miu, the paparazzi, and Nana's family.

I thought of another one, La Corda D'Oro. Freakin' a, will she please decide to like someone or at least acknowledge that she might have some feelings for some of the bishies?
