Pretty decent chapter except that Hitsugaya beeing sliced in two was actually an illusion...
Barragans release, WOW coolest so far easily.

Agreed.
Hitsugaya's fight still isn't interesting.
However Barragan in his release form = awesomeness 😎

Whoever guessed the illusion thing, kudos. I'm sure Kubo Tite thanks you as well!

Thanks. He called me Saturday thanking me for the idea. 😎

But seriously, this chapter wasn't really a good troll moment this week because it was too obvious that Hitsugaya would pull a ice bunshin no jutsu out his ass. And apparently this clone is so good that it can even fake blood geysers. 🙄

It's kinda funny though how Barragan is the complete opposite of Orihime, with him increasing time on things. His release is badass though. I gotta use it as my avatar one day.

But here's a question: when did spirits start having bones? You could say the same about organs, ligaments, teeth, etc.

ANSWER: It was when Kubo stopped caring about continuity.

Pretty cool chapter, all because of Barragan. I still wish that Hitsugaya would just die already, but I know it will not happen. I know that it will take a while to find out, but how exactly is "loneliness" used as a weapon? Anyone think that they could help out with this one?

their representations don't necessarily have to be used as weapons. they can serve many other purposes. look at Ulquiorra's Nihlism, Grimmjaw's Destruction,Nnoitra's Despair, and Syzeal's Madness. they basically served as like a psychological understanding to their methods as well as the feelings they try to inflict onto their opponents.

"I can only use this once."

Why would you tell your enemy that. Especially when they just handed your arse to you. 🤢

This is just bad writing...

Tōshirō Hitsugaya is a cool ass character but dam it...I don't know what was worst, the cliff hanger or his explanation.
"I can only use this once."

Barragan had no reason to release considering...HE'S WINNING WTF

toshiro getting torn in half and then pulling some sort of illusion trick is an example of how tite kubo gets so carried away with himself that he has to remedy his mistake with something pretty trivial. i'm guessing that tite really did want to kill off toshiro. it was only after chapter 355 was released that he regretted is decision and decided to keep him alive. or his editor forced him to keep toshiro alive so that wsj don't lose the toshiro fangirls.

aside from that the chapter was pretty good. barrigan's release is pretty impressive. the fact that the 10 espada all represent a form of 'death' is pretty interesting athough i'm not sure i would associate nnoitra with despair.

i really hope that stark's release will be awesome, if not more awesome than barrigan's

Because Kubo is poorly trying to build tension.

Even though some people will say "He's just confident!" or "He wants to hurry and finish it!", we all know the real reason why.

Kubo's gonna kill him in at least 4 chapters from now.

The same fate awaits Halibel as well sadly. :/

Why did Toshiro survive... Now, it seems as if the released Halibel is weak. She probably (scratch that, DEFINITELY) wouldn't be able to defeat Old Yama.

yeah i thought she was getting a little to full of herself there when she made that threat. 😛 as much as i like Halibel, she'd bite off more than she could chew if she messed with old man Yama.

also at loosecannon, this doesn't necessarily spell the end for both Barragan and Halibel just cause they did their release. they could likely have another one waiting to be released just like with Ulquiorra.
