Simple or complex?
Usually complex.
Simplicity doesn't train you,
but I don't want to have allegories,
symbolism or causality equations in my cooking book.

I don't think I have a choice. Everything one comes in contact with can make a situation either. Those outside influences are uncontrollable. Luckily, I don't have a preference, I try to take everything in stride.
complex its like it gives off different feeling when your reading something like that

The opposite of faith is not heresy, it's indifference.

A healthy balance of both. I enjoy complex films such as Memento or The Machinist, but I love simple lighthearted stuff like I Love You, Man or Sideways just as much. This applies to literature, manga/comics, and music as well. This also reflects my personality as well, I find.
Too much of one thing is a bad thing.

In general, simpler is better. Whenever I see something complicated, my gut instinct is to just break it down into the individual, simpler, components and work from there. Complex things like equations or combos in a video game are more satisfying to use since, but can be much more frustrating as well when it all goes wrong.

Simple, most of the time.
High maintenance is not simple.
If you've ever thought or said "Nice Guys finish last" and really meant it, then you should probably read this LJ post by DivaLion. It's incredibly insightful whether you're male or female.

Simple.

Many things are needlessly complex.
Also complexity is not always the same as depth.
