I've not read much of it myself, but from the first few chapters it appears Amatsuki takes place in a virtual reality game.

Maybe something almost like that is what I recently read reset, there is an ova series as well as an arc like that in the series hunter x hunter called Greed Island and another reco is a manhwa (not my cuppa tea, I didnt go past the first few pages) 1/2 Ouji.

Mirai nikki which you might have heard of is a reality- pseudo - virtual survival game. If u havent read it, I have to say its good but not virtual reality. For one who hates survival games, this one really caught my attention.

Bokurano-pretty good psychological manga, and the manga itself is sorta in a "game" where they can't leave
