I really agree with u...they should combine it lol
Or at least they should improve the art in shoujo.
Generalize much? Let's just hope you just mean in shoujo smut, because there are a lot of good shoujo and josei artists who draw just as well shoujo/josei as shonen/seinen artists draw their shonen/seinen.

but it's also true that there's too much shoujo smut with bad art... i mean...story can be great, but if art is a mess, i have to force myself at first to read it...and it's also kinda...empty? if the art is great but the story sucks...and nicely drawn smut, that's really something u cannot find easily...

I can't stand it when the bodies are unproportional and the stories are the normal "girl falls for her rapist" types. So it's depending on how good the manga is.

Not just smut. There are shoujo mangas with art similar to each other. I am not asking them to be necessarily distinctive. Sometimes faces and limbs look too long, too thin or too weird, not to mention the huge eyes that take up half of the page (due to the way panels are presented). Most of the time the artists don't pay attention to details and backgrounds while drawing. I am OK with one or two artists like that. But this type of art seems to be mass-produced. It's really getting annoying. Smut artists also draw like that and with the weird bodies, it just doesn't work.
Of course there are shoujo/josei artists who draw well. In my opinion, they are either those who pay more attention to backgrounds and details (instead of eyes and hair), and have more realistic-looking characters, or those who have unique art styles, even if some of them are minimalists.

If I'm bored. Thats simply what it comes down to, its funny to read and alot of it is available so its a some times thing. But it is not my preferred genre, well put it this way if the description is okay sounding and its got smut in then I'm not going to not read it. I won't expect much from it though.

Um nay for me.
I do read a few sometimes but I would never go looking for smutty manga to read. If the story appeals to me I will read the manga, smut or not.
Though the general smut is really ridiculous. The women are all so... easy... I mean... they shouldn't even bothering whimpering their "nooo please don't" because their body obviously is saying "come and get me".

Depends on the context (and art lol, but the importance of art for me depends on the level of smuttiness). I don't like random smut in my manga (exceptions sometimes apply in comedy ones), and most especially forced one that turns the girl/woman into a massive goo pile.

Absolutely YAY for me.
Because I am in my late twenties I am not really looking for light shoujo. I definately enjoy good smut and good strong male bishies. I also enjoy strong sensual romance. This is the main reason I read manga.
My first manga was Midnight Secretary and that got me looking for more. I must say I dont see that much good smut/mature themed romance mangas aimed at the female audience. For that reason I turned to yaoi and found they have better drawn bishies with better plotlines.
So I hope there are better smut mangas in the shoujo/josei catagory in the future.

Nay.
The room where the computer is in has a lotta people walking into it, so if my parents walk in and see me reading smutty manga, thats kinda awkward. xD

awwww~XD
I wonder if you would say 'yay' if the computer wasn't as issue...
But as for my vote - I voted 'yay' because when it's good it's good and I like it. Not to say this is ALL I read...but when I am in the mood for it, it's nice to have around. 🤣

NAY.
I haven't read a single shoujo manga that was improved by the addition of smut. And most of the time it boils down to Rape Is Love, which is quite insulting to the sensibilities of readers everywhere. People who like smut amaze me.

Neither ... for me XD I've read some smut-- I think my first smut was Midnight Secretary. I read some after that, but none were like Midnight Secretary, the story lacked in some. Hmm, but even if they weren't what I was looking for, I do try to enjoy the story as much as I can. I can only read smut without outlines-- outlines are still not the smut i can handle-- I rather no smut, but there's some manga that it contains the smut at a suitable level for me. There's ... one manga I wish there were just 1 smut scene... well, not really smut.. but that we knew something happened XD ... Vampire Knight XD
So I'll vote neither XD

Lies.
You are a hardcore smut fan! ;< I know it!
♪MONSTARR~ will eat all your cookies and steal your bishies~♪ Φ_Φ
Occassionally- used to be fun for a while until it gets repetetive and teh whole story is it only- nowadays I like the subtle smut, if there is any such thing- but usually when I am in the mood for it..
