I'm going to the L'ArcenCiel concert in Hong Kong. 😀 The tickets went on sale today and I was able to snag one. I'm too giddy for words. I feel like a fangirl all over again. 😀

Quote from Slagathor

the last show i went to was the Dropkick Murphys! It was a really fun show the weekend before St Patrick's day (they're an Irish American band), the crowd was really pumped. When they played 'Tessie' (the official song of the 2004 Boston Red Sox) everyone was shouting the words as loud as they could. I've been to concerts where people sing along-but this was something else.

Aaah, I was supposed to go see Dropkick here in Sweden some weeks ago but unfortunately my schedule made it impossible. Too bad too bad, I'd love to see them sometime.

I haven't been to very many large concerts, Robbie Williams and Metallica were the two latest ones I think. However, I've attended quite a lot of festivals over the years so I've seen many artists in that way. Not the same as large arena concerts, but enough for me 🙂

I'll probably get to see Nightwish this summer XD...90% sure. The other 9% is whether they actually come or not (it's still unconfirmed..refreshing every 5 mins for confirmation) and the other 1% is in case something will happen and I won't have any means of locomotion. Oh well...walking is always an option~ (...must...see....nw....)

@Fallofkakashi: Lucky bastard ;_; I wanna see Epica too~ 🙁 .

Freakin awesome. I was right in front of Pat(the drummer) for the whole show. He beats to f ing drums so hard man. He broke 2 sticks (i didn't get either of the and I was pissed). I did get the setlist that Pat had though. Awesomeness

hmm i mostly go to local/state gigs on the holidays (living in a van.. sleeping in the park and taking open showers at beaches.. everyday while travelling..) if there are any metal bands good enough to see/hear or just hang in the local hall and there are always bands playing there but most of them suck anyways, and battle of the bands is sometimes good. I fear mosh pits, because a friend of mine got her belly button ring pulled out..

I was gonna go see the original blue brothers band a few weeks ago when they came to Australia, i couldnt get the ticket in time which really bugged me for a while.

Overall, i don't really like the mainstream bands of today, damn pussy voices, bad guitar techniques and bad drumming (personally i hate how some drummers drum really fast just for show and messes the beat and timing, if they go fast and keep everything in place, then i will go watch them). I have to agree that there are many bands that has struck me to be a lot better then others, i'd like to see alter bridge come to australia one day though, to see how they play live.

If i could go back in time to go see woodstock, i would most definitely do it, i'd probably sell my soul just to see jimi hendrix and bob dylan live. I'd be out of place if i went to see muddy waters though.. XD

Gonna go to three concerts next break, karnivool, dropkick murphies and SAXON.

My boy Astro is coming closer to home than ever before next week, and I intend to get out to see him. Problem is, none of my friends that also like him can drive, and as near to home as he is, it's all relative to him usually working the east coast/deep south. 1 1/2 hours away.

Need to find a way to get there ASAP.

I love concerts and gigs! I have been on the Black Crusade's, Megadeth's, Metallica's, Iron Maiden's, Mucc's and many more musicfestival concerts and gigs and stuff. I just love hearing music live, it makes me feel alive when I hear some rocking tune. 😁
I'm sure be going to look some korean artists concerts while I'm in Korea. Maybe on next holiday. Haven't planned anything yet... (don't know much about korean music) 😃

I also loved a Paramore concert

Walked past the opening of that Rolling Stones movie the other night, didn't know about it, just happened to be in Leicester Square during the whole red carpet ordeal.

All my favourite bands aren't scheduled to come to the UK for now. Well, more accurately most of my favourite bands have split up or stopped making music, but the ones I want to see at the moment are over with most of you guys. jealous

Though, I have been quite lucky seeing bands before they break up. There's been a few that have cut their tours short and split up for good, shortly after I've seen them.

I made it out to the Astronautalis concert last night. It was beyond awesome. He was the fourth act. Supposed to be the fifth up, but the second act never showed. All the acts in front of him were quite impressive as well--especially k-the-i 😕 when he got up and did some of his "1000 Apes in a Room" with Michael Nhat. Now, every successive artist ended up requesting the bass bumped up a bit.

By the time Astro went up, it was incredible. He has a song, a simple syncopated synth beat with a few beeps replacing snares and a heavy bass hitting twice a measure. The bass used for this is very sharp and very deep. I was sitting there, and I shit you not, it was like having my ears boxed by an experienced matron many, many times over. And you know what? It hurt so good.

Also spent a while talking with the aforementioned k-the-i 😕 . He is awesome not just as a performer.

So yeah, there was a delay of one and one half hours when act two didn't show up--act three didn't want to go up until after that one showed up. According to k-the-i 😕 , the details were as follows: Act 2 is also a producer of some ability and local note. Act 3 wanted to get into bed with a good producer; they didn't want to start until he was present--but he never showed up. But without the wait, I'd never have spoken with k-the-i 😕 , so it was totally worth it.

The delay also had the concert getting out really late. Guess where I didn't go today. If you guessed, "School!" you are completely correct. I slept. It was better that way.

Edit: Just noticed that all the 3 question marks at the end of k-the-i 😕 's name came out broken. Gotta fix that now....

Except, of course, there's no way to do that, so, to my readers, know this: If it says, k-the-i 😕 , read that as k-the-i with 3 question marks immediately following the i. When the post is quoted or edited, it shows a space between the i and the first question mark; this space does not exist, but is rather a product of the change that renders three question marks as a 😕 smiley, of all terrible things.
