I went to a deal-breaking concert about...err -counts on fingers-
five months ago. I saw the Rocket Summer (they're AWESOME live),
Armor for Sleep (weird mosh pit), Sherwood, Cobra Starship, and the Academy Is.
I only stayed during TRS, AFS, Sherwood, and Cobra Starship though.
The total admission fee was around twenty dollars, just to see those five bands. <333

I had to leave before the Academy is because my friend and I took the metro there.
It was pretty much late and we were wiped.

If anyone's in the Washington D.C. metropolitian area there's a good music club called 9:30 club.

I've been to two switchfoot concerts... Found them both utterly boring.

Eh, I can't say that I saw any bands that you people would have heard about. While I still lived in Poland my friends and I used to go to local bands' concerts every Friday. It was local, not many people around. But it was punk rock, SKA, Oi!, reagee... Ah, those were the times. I used to go back home almost dead, quite often wearing someone else's shoes... Yes, it was fun.

Now I'm hunting for U2's concert in Dublin. Hope they'll play this summer.

I only go to 9:30 club when I see a band that interests me.
My music teachers have frequent connections there, so
that's why I know about it. Most of the bands that perform
there are on the mainstream side. -shrugs-

It's not bad price-wise, and I listen to what I like
so if there's a band there I want to see, I don't bother
hesitating. <-- long-run sentence..? x.x

My favorite concert would have to be Oasis. The atmosphere was just fantastic. And to be able to sing along to their songs live was enough for me. They did a sweet ass cover of My Generation. Only seen them twice in my life and I hope to to see more of them in the future. With an honorable mention to The Strokes. Fab was funny on stage.

The best stage performance would be a local band I saw. Don't quite remember their name...but it was kind of like a jazzy-rock? It was good nonetheless.

Craziest show would have to be 311. I nearly got trampled to death.

Sadly, it's been almost a year since I've been to a show. Time and money won't allow me. I curse my major. The last show I've been to was the Kings of Leon. That was hella good as well.

What kind of bands play there? I might try it out if I ever decide to visit my sister in DC.

All sorts of bands/even performers. It jumps from Colbie Caillat to M.I.A.
I'll list a few bands to give you a taste of what kind of performers they have.

  • Plain White Tee's (before their old school song hit the radio and became Platinum)
  • Sia
  • The New Pornographers
  • The Cab
  • We The Kings
  • Gavin DeGraw
  • Silverstein
  • The Hives
  • Wilco
  • The Cure (I think)
  • JUSTICE

It depends really. Lots of bands who stop by D.C. usually perform
there on their way out. In case you're planning a trip, just the performance
schedule. The genres vary. ^^;

going to floggin molly pretty soon, always an entertaining show. Got tickets for the Eagles, and birthday present from a buddy is that video game symphony thing.

Love floggin molly, got to see them when I went to green day concert (which I loved). Oh and that video game symphony thing sounds really interesting (like to know how it is).

over the past year and a half i discovered how much fun a concert could be!

the last show i went to was the Dropkick Murphys! It was a really fun show the weekend before St Patrick's day (they're an Irish American band), the crowd was really pumped. When they played 'Tessie' (the official song of the 2004 Boston Red Sox) everyone was shouting the words as loud as they could. I've been to concerts where people sing along-but this was something else.

I've only been to 4.5 concerts so far, so i'm not the most experienced. 😔
