WATASE Yuu some of her work bothers me. But Fushigi Yuugi: Genbu Kaiden is one of my favorite series and she is a very talented mangaka.
CLAMP they make some of the most beautiful manga ever. I love them.
YAGI Norihiro responsible for my favorite manga ever (Claymore), he's an all around amazing mangaka.
YUKI Kaori all her manga is amazing. She's a very talented artist. She's extremely creative, and her series reflect that.
Honorable mention: HINO Matsuri Vampire Knight is one of my all time favorite manga. I love her work!
Number one favorite mangaka: TAKAHASHI Rumiko: Ranma 1/2 was the first manga I ever read, Inuyasha (vol. 19) was the first manga I ever owned. Rumiko-sensei is by far my favorite mangaka. She is the reason I like manga, she has be an inspiration for me, and she'll always hold a special place in my heart.

Author - Tabata, Yoshiaki Artist - Yuuki, Yugo - Creators of Akumetsu and Ookami no Monshou - Wolf Guy
don't know if manhwa's count but it has to be
-
Kim, Daewoo, author and artist of Id (Manhwa) * one of the most well thought-out stories ive ever read with multiple interesting plots going on simultaneously granted it takes quiet a few volumes for things to get done but luckily it is still ongoing with a good number of volumes already translated
-
Kim, Yeong-Eun author of zippy ziggy (Manhwa) * funniest thing ever read hysterical situations
-
Oku, Hiroya - Gantz * the sole reason why i got into manga's the relationship between kei and kojima was the best the way they mixed in the action with a good romantic plot however without the annoying (blush i like u i like u 2 blush)
-
Katsura, Masakazu - Zetman * great character development and relationship development same reason for gantz

Top 5 mangaka
ODA Eiichiro - One Piece
Maybe I'm not a big fan of shounen, but even I have to admit that Oda awesomeness
TAMURA Yumi - 7 Seeds
7 Seeds is one of the best manga that I have ever read, in par with FMA and even tough I haven't read another manga by Tamura, its enough for me to insert Tamura's name into my remember-to-stalk-mangaka.
CLAMP
I really hate the fact that they never finish X, but they're still in my top 5 mangaka list.
ARAKAWA Hiromu - FMA
There's no need for me to explain
One slot open for future favorite mangaka.

Mori Kouji : Holyland, Jisatsutou
Takahashi Tsutomu : Sidooh, Skyhigh series, Jiraishin, Tetsuwan Girl
Tabata Yoshiaki = the autor + Yugo Yuuki = the artist : Akumetsu, Wolf Guy
the group Naked Ape : Dolls, Switch
Inagaki Riichiro = the author + Murata Yuusuke = the artist : Eyeshield 21 and the artist with some other mangas
upps, that's more than five.
Man is more ape than many of the apes.

I don't know if its fair to mention someone that has only made one manga unless its like a comic strip that goes on forever. So there are plenty of individual works I much more enjoy than the ones these manga-ka have made but their collective works show their talents.
Adachi Mitsuru Miyuki, Cross Game and all the little ones he's made.
Seo Kouji Only two works but he clearly has talent.
Kawashita Mizuki She's actually done two works I've really liked. I still think she has potential for more.
Azuma Kiyohiko Pretty undeniable skilled.
Guess Rumiko Takahashi is my last. She's undeniable produced some good funny stuff even if I mainly like her earlier work, but that's still like four big series.
Special mention to Akira Toriyama, Yamahama Noriyuki, Manabe Jouji.

enjouji maki (#1 hapi mari n' private prince is two of the best mangas that i ever encountered yet)
yoshihara yuki (maybe excessive in the chibiness, sometime the face look like it just come out from horror mangas but i like how the guy is drawn.. no too broad shoulder like shinjo mayu's art
shinjo mayu (haha.. no matter what shit others throw at her, i cannot doubt that i still love kaikan phrase and it still one of the top mangas in my list)
ohmi tomu (i love all her works from midnight secretary to the kindan trilogy)
lastly, i cannot choose between saijou ayano or tsukuba sakura 😀
This world is a comedy to those that think, a tragedy to those that feel.
