My average was 80wpm in junior high, but it's gone up since then quite a lot. Not exactly sure how much, though; I just know the words go faster now.

I use the correct hand placement. But I didn't learn how to type until 7th grade, it was mandatory to take keyboarding then. It was a semester class lol, it replaced a semester of Literature.
So all the people in my grade from my middle school know how to type.

Though I still have to look sometimes for symbols. And I can't press the spacebar with both thumbs like you're supposed to.

I type with the correct hand placement. shrugs I type with a ridiculous speed and accuracy, too, so I don't see any reason to change my habits.

RAWR. FOUR FINGERS. but my typing speed is still pretty average so im happy. i had a typing class before. but i only typed correctly in class. too addicting typing this way...

I use correct hand placement almost the time. my speed typing is depend on the keyboard. I dont know y this should be. i type faster when using keyboard in my office but so slow when using my laptop. I still need to look at keyboard when typing. Sometimes i use one hand, with other hand scrolling the mouse (well playing games). I need to learn not to look at the keyboard when typing 🤣

Either I use correct hand placement or use some of my fingers. I'm so used to typing I never pay attention to this. Plus in elementary, we had to do this program in computer class to make sure we all typed "properly".

I literally only ever use one hand for typing. I tried to learn with two hands, but I just can't do it. So many people have watched me and asked how I type with just one hand, but I can't understand how they do it with two. ^^
