@mcblaise
jay never said to make them look kool first so i don't know where your getting that.
@mangamadmonkey
the riding up a wall idea is pretty much impossible, u might be able to wallride a little longer than with normal skates, but dont try climbing a 3 story building with them lol
@ikki-san
i think he ment like it doesn't look like there is a motor in the wheel, which he's right there isn't if he would've read the whole page he'd know that but no big deal.
i just finished emailing a couple companies who make in-wheel motors for electric cars and bikes to see if they would be interested in doing a custom job for this and of course i'm gonna pay them for it (nothings free in this world) but does anyone know about a website that sells these in wheel motors the size we need em cause i want to get some prices so i can start organizing my budget and maybe avoid custom jobs because of higher prices. 😁

@ tokuin
we have to look for a motor that would atleast fit on the side of a skate..
we don't need an in wheel motor....in wheel motor is much harder to find than the motor that is much bigger and not in-wheel but more easy to find............................
to everybody: do you have friendster 😕
add me up and join my group of making AT's......
there we could communicate much faster and easier cause we could comment or message to each other or make a group forum.....heres my email addres...
near.nate91@yahoo.com
all of you please post your email addres so I could add you in friendster!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mcblaise this IS a forum lol anyway suprisingly i already got a reply from one of the companies, I had asked them if they make the motors themslves for the E-bikes and asked if so could they do a custom job for the at project, this was there reply...
Hi Tokuin, we make electronic devices not hub motors. I'm interested in similar sized hub wheels for electric skateboard projects, and will be pursuing that at some point in the future but not right now.
Some of the smaller (<300 watt) internally geared ebike hub motors have a smaller outrunner motor inside them that would be about the right size, and we did a mountainboard project based on the ethinkar geared hub a couple years ago with one of these.
Justin
the info isn't extremely helpful since the le wheelmotor is stronger i believe but its a start, I'm thinking i might buy a couple 300W motors just to test out the concept and who knows, maybe its more efficient than the le wheelmotor. But im still waiting on a reply from another companie and ill keep trying with any others that i find. Also to everyone who said that in-wheel motors are hard to find, do a little research for a change, search hub motor or in-wheel motor on google and they are everywhere. And I'm telling you that you have a death wish if u make a chain driven AT. But good luck and all the power to ya... on second thought maybe u should go easy on the power. 😀

@tokuin
your right this IS a forum BUT in friendster we could message or comment with each other in here its just a FORUM or add me in yahoo messenger near.nate91@yahoo.com so we could have live communication. btw I saw you in the le wheelmotor video and i think teamtestbot is very responsive to you.......
please tell him to post it on instructables.com
I'm sure he know that site
so we could make one in our home...
don't encourage him to make air trek...cause what if he succed!?!he might sell it to us and I'm sure its not going to be a good price and one more thing it wouldn't be a secret anymore 😢
instead incourage him to tell us how to make it by posting it to instructables.com this is a project we need to make in our home............the reality of air trek is in your hands!!!!!!!
your the only one here that could contact him very well.........
please.............................this is you opportunity!!!!!
don't forget to post your email address everyone!!!!!!!!!! 🙂

lol incourage. sorry. just letting you know everything I say is irrelevant or just my opinion. I don't know too much about the technical stuff but if anyone could guide me into a career which will help with the making of ats.

unfortunately mcblaise someone said that teamtestbot is already in the midst of creating them but i will contact him and try to find out his intentions, I'll also ask if he wants to join the forum, maybe if he joins us he'll be more willing to listen to our reasoning. But i don't think he really likes me that much because our ideas are so different. he likes simple resolutions as to me i like more detailed complicated solutions or rather i like to over complicate things. That's mainly the reason why he even replies to me.
WOW i just saw a video for ishoes lol, somebody made motorized rollerskates, no its not the same thing we want, these have wheels placed side by side. if u wanna see the video just for laughs, its ishoes on youtube here is the link

what if all of us here create your own youtube account
and post a comment in this video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NazDiO1aarI
post a comment that says
"please join our forum and help us create this air treks"
or anything you want but just don't forget the words join our forum cause thats the words that will make him understand that were on the same forum.
so that he'll know that there are alot of people whos begging him.
and that way maybe he'll join our forum

idk if thats the right direction to go because i think it would just end up annoying him, i sent him a PM and told him about the forum. I also told him that we don't want him just so he'll share his motor design with us or anything, cause the bottom line is he worked very hard on it and for us to expect him to share this design for free would just be insulting. I told him my opinion on selling them to a company that would mass produce them but i basically said that it's all up to him anyway, i don't want to come off as telling him what to do. I'm sure he'll reply to me sooner or later so we should just leave it at that for now, i check this forum about 4 times a day so it'll be posted as soon as he replies. BTW my email is
please ad me! 😀

Hey but what about curves if it were to say go at 30-40 km/h you cant take 90 degree turns even well .I skated down a hill once took a 90 degree turn(well i only made about 60 degrees of that turn) and I stopped cause i hit a lamppost(I know its funny) If the lamppost hadn't been there I would be dead now cause if i had gone straight forward the road was there and if i had made it pass the cars there was another hill that went about 80 degrees straight down.
So yeah the turns are hard and dangerous for any beginner if i had been a beginner back then i wouldn't be writing this reply 😀
I don't wanna sound like a wimp I am just saying that many people will die cause of this sooner or later about 7% at least and others will have a lot of fun.Is that okay?Well now that i read this myself i understand that people die in any sports so yeah still dangerous might lose a leg or an arm
But oh well good luck I hope this dream will come true I cant wait to ride these even if these come out in 20 years id still ride em

the thing is i would hope ppl know there limits before trying any of of this. I know its dangerous but think about it, on a peddle bike u go faster than 40kmh, much faster for some ppl. i fall off some times at top speed but ive never broken anything from it. People sometimes think that just because there are motors that they dont need to be physically fit to ride them but in this case there wrong. For anyone who wants to ride at i would suggest working on your flexibility and leg strength, also you might wanna take up some parkour or freerunning to learn how to land properly from high jumps. Gymnastics classes are a great way to work on all of these.

Hmm, well I have a friend that makes blueprints for welding. So if I ask him to make a blueprint for the AT's, I'm sure he'd accept. By the way, I don't really have a problem with paying someone for helping us in this project, if you need help. I mean, not to brag or anything, but I do work for the army, and I'm only 17.
And my email is gfontanez123@yahoo.com
In the meantime, I'll try and think of some starting blueprints of my own. When I get some ideas I'll gladly post.
