okay let me clear this up, if u read my and pay attention u'll understand. On the tutorial that sceneav posted, it tells to make it chain driven, on my post i said we will have to modify the plans on the tutorial to adapt them to in-wheel motors. I am not saying we have to adapt our plans to fit the tutorial. We will not mount any motors on the back, why would i say " mount the motor on the back and than make your own". That just doesn't make sense. The whole reason we have to make our own wheel is because, the dc motor will have to be place inside of a wheel. Which means we have to mold a wheel around the motor. So make no mistake, we are gonna use an in-wheel motor. But because the we have the tutorial, we know we do not have to make our own skates, we only have to modify a cheap pair like iv'e said before. This means we will save a lot of time, effort and money.

I like the idea of a lightweight motorized rollerblade. But i find that maybe we should go with a different perspective on the number of wheels. even though it will add more weight i think we should go with the design that fats Bucha has, a four-wheeled AT Thi s will require more energy and and a more powerful motor. I am going to try designing one with the help of my brother, hes a mechanic and a damn good one. I will start out with a basic mod to an pair of rollerskates and then work my way up to actual customiziation from scratch. I do suppose we need a online site that sells powerful mini motors for less than others because i do not suppose that we want to spend 500 big ones for a little motor. With the right inspiration qand time i believe we could have something big here. For the shocks maybe we sould go with something like the front wheel of a dirtbike but smaller to absorb the shock and then redistribute it in forward momentum or braking relying on what the user wants to happen. for the wheels themselves maybe we could go with a redesigned paddle wheel like you see for sand but not rubber but a hardened sylacone or something else. I will continue to try and help bringing this seemingly distant dream to a reality

why not make AT like ikki...
I don't think it would look good when it looks like bucha's...
but it's just my suggestion I'm not trying to offend you
AirTreckDreamer 🙂
If you want like bucha's then make it!!!!!
and it might help us mod it to make it smaller ammount of wheels like ikki's 😃

i think the nike plus idea would be helpful if we are gonna try and do suomething like the R.E.A.D and it would also be fully awesome.
@McBlaise: where did u get that gif its heaps awesome is there any way we can use that to make the whole thing?

@MangaMadMonkey the tech we have at our disposal is not quite up to making an exact replica of the airtrek from the manga, but dont worry one day they will be real, for now we are doing our best

If so, are we going to make a Usb port for a flash drive or what not? like they did in the manga? I don't know about the program on the phones, but i can try to make one. or at least somewhat like it. lol.

You guys are getting a little ahead of yourselves here. All the flashy stuff can wait till later on after we have a working AT. As for replicating what they have in the manga, sorry to say but it's impossible. Maybe one day you'll get the same speeds, but climbing 30foot high wall, jumping one hundred feet in the air, landing without breaking your legs, that stuff is all impossible. If you fall one hundred feet, whether you land on your feet or not, you will die, or be severely injured. It's impossible to stick to a vertical wall enough to climb it. And jumping relies on the power of your legs, so if you can't jump one hundred feet in the air without AT's, you won't be able to with AT's. The quicker you guys realise which parts of the manga/anime are purely fantasy, the quicker we can get on with the project.

ranio when u ganna get those sketches up lol im just wondering whatt they r ganna look like 😛
what kind of motors are you thinking about because if you guys decide to go with in wheel motors how will you do the acceleration?
😕 😕 😕

that question applies to any electric motor whether it be in wheel or not, the answer is the amount of power we pour into the motor. If you restric the amount of power you put in you can control the speed. I'm gonna have to do research on it because i don't really know much about how it's done but i know it isn't very difficult to do. It's just like a remote control vehicle, you can control the speed of it depending how much you push the joystick forward.

ive done the 1st lot of sketches, but my batteries for my camera are flat have to wait til payday to get some more! at this stage im going with remote control as i see a few problems with sensor pads for acceleration. but i will use them eventually.
