Sorry for taking so long to reply, i was in vacation, either way
i can find some people to actually try to build it, and if possible i can multiple prototypes and send it through the mail to people thats participating, if thats any help. >.>

OH by the way, i just found this link, if it might help in anyway, but it goes 25mph, if we can only mod it though.

hey have you guys looked at any nano motors? yesterday i saw a site where they advertised 1 for a bike. Oh and i'm kinda interested in your ideas could some1 send me plans if they made any, im curios on how it will work. In the anime it looks as if they speed up by putting pressure towards the front of the air trek so maybe if you guys used a leaver/petal there then that might work well, and they also say that they are modified roller blades.

email me at adam00x@aim.com

It just crossed my mind, but isn't the nike+ stuff somewhat like the whole parts-war / memory chips from Air Gear? At the very least it has the potential of a similarity.

@ sceneav; the link u posted for the electric skates is perfect for this project and it also verifies our belief that this is possible. If we follow that tutorial, we can all make our own right now XD the motor that deathsabre brought up is a dc motor, so it may already have two axles, since the link only shows the side view it is impossible to tell but most dc motors have two. The only problem is that the link tells you to make it chain driven, so the plans will have to be modified a bit, but its fairly easy to adapt them to an in-wheel design. But the tutorial has very good insight on the batteries we should use. Now i believe our next step should be rubber molding, by this i mean we need to make our own wheels. I'm not sure if it'll work but I'm gonna try molding a wheel in a cast iron mold with molten rubber. We can use plastic or rubber, personally i chose to go with rubber and a carbide ring placed in the middle of the rubber ring. This way i can have more traction with less wear on the wheel.

the base design will come for a rollerblade, then remove the rails and wheels then mod that to fit bigger wheels with motors. its not like we can pulls a complete finish blueprint for a working airtrek out of my ass haha
