Yes i understand, u mean that i used the "f" word. Sorry bout that, I sometimes forget what is acceptable on different forum websites but if you mean because i said testicle, well thats just silly lol. I still think its a little harsh to up my warning level to 3 but whatever. 😐

Yes, I meant the f word...using it every now and again is alright but using it too much or for bashing someone is not acceptable and will get you into trouble especially if you're reported because of it.

Hey there, I just stumbled in here looking for inspiration of my own. I'd love to craft something along the lines of air trek, allowing you to move much less restricted than with other means of transportation.

I just had some rough (still very conceptual) ideas I was thinking of.

First of all I was thinking something along the lines of this would be useful for the power source, since it's essential to keep it as minimal as possible. and since there will be plenty of impacts for the shock absorbers to take advantage of.

One thing that keeps me puzzled, though, is the "air cushion system" that gives that feeling of flying (quoted from the manga). I was thinking that perhaps a high-pressure air-jet right before you land could do something, and that the spinning wheels could act as a compressor of sorts. I don't know much about the force that could be derived from a jet of air, but the idea just springed to mind. The problem would also be to fit in a space to store the air, and perhaps the volume required for such a jet would be too massive.

Other than that, to determine the power of the motor output, wouldn't it suffice to have a pressure-sensor determining how hard you kick, and then accelerate what you have based on that, up to the maximum of the motors' capacity?

thats great theoretically, but can u fit all that in a skate? These "air trek" won't be like in the manga, and every1 needs to stop trying to ammount to that idea of air trek, we are going for simple electric skates at the moment. No fancy stuff. The fact is, if we try to replicate the manga's air trek, we'll never get these off the ground.

Of course everyone's all tired of the theoretical part of it all, but has anyone actually started to get practical and contacted companies, constructors etc. about the possibilities of such a product?

And I think the biggest focus should lie on the shock absorbing. Without a way of negating the impact from falling, we'd have nothing more than a pair of motorized inlines. The thing that gives the impression of flying is that you wouldn't feel the impression of hitting the walls and obstacles, but instead just accelerated from it and 'flew' on.

Does anyone have any idea if there's any currently existing technology that would be able to handle such shocks and that would be able to fit in a small enough container?
And is anyone collecting the conceptual facts of the product in order to talk to an engineer of sorts, or a company more proficient of the technical aspects? I haven't read all the pages (perhaps 50%) but the main problem we have here is that it isn't organized and no-one's in charge. If there's gonna be any chance of making this real, we've got to organize.

me too................
I want to see ikki-san's blue prints!!!!!!!!!
btw tokuin is right!!!!
we don't have to replicate trhe AT in the manga
for now we just have to make a motorize skate
and then later you could modify it yourself 😛

exxactly! And goos, ur missunderstanding. We dont want any companies to take this project on, this is something we want to keep quiet. If a company gets ahold of this there will be laws attributed to them and restrictions on the product. Just like when electric scooters first came out, and pocket bikes. And yes we have started on practical, were just waiting on ikki-sans' friends now. I think the main problem the newcomers have is that they are reading from the beginning and giving up soon after, if u just read the last 5 pages, you'll be much more up to speed than if you read the first 50 pages.

Once again, here's my email; Bonfield_beaver@hotmail.com
Ad me and lets form a build team to get this game rolling.

Hey sorry for not being avtive for a while (Mum thought i had swine flu, lol) but yer i've been sick, ive asked a few of my mates and dads mates and i can get this built i'm not good with making them work, lol.
I mean i could put a bunch of parts together and hope it works but it would be dogey, plus i need to find a motor, and as it has been said buying '1' would be near impossible, id have to buy them in stock.

B. 😀

i was thinking what if you use some thing like a center of a fan but if possible with just a battery but only on one weal on the back of the skates that hopefully can get it moving this is just a idea so i don't know if it would work

do you mean a computer fan? the motors in commy fan are mostly magnet run, so to upscale that to the skate wheel you would need realy strong magnets, but i dont think that would have enough power to help us. the idea is good but im not sure if its possible to build off it.

I just finished sending an email to the sales office for the silencer series motor that Death Sabre brought to light. I'm hoping to get some info on the price per unit and the minimum quantity that we would need to buy. These motor are really quite amazing, the BN34 and the BN42 are very well suited for our project, the BN34 has a slightly higher speed and the BN42 has a higher torque. The motor would have to be modified to make it an in wheel motor, but the modifications would be fairly simple even for someone with no prior training. Hopefully if i get an email from them with some good news, you guys will be a little more willing to start a build team with me. Thanks again to Death Sabre, that beautiful SOB lol, for the find. 😀

Also @ blackraven, how do you get to be a moderator? do you have to pay for that or is it because you've been with the forum for so long? Just generally interested lol
