K-ON Anime
The anime has started, and it has already gathered a large fanbase in no time. Guess anime about young girls mixed with a slice-of-life feel is always a hit in the anime world.
The anime itself is nothing great, but it has a nice feel to it. And I'm loving the OP/ED, especially the ED. My current avi/sig are from K-ON, by the way.
Akiyama Mio is the most popular girl out of the four. I guess that has to do with her being the songstress in the ED? The one who sings in a band always gets the most attention.

Runner-up is Hirasawa Yui who's adorably clumsy. Sometimes even to the point of annoyance, haha. She's alright though. : P

Then there's Kotobuki Tsumugi, the timid one. Not really my preferred personality type, but you got to have any kind in a show, no~

Last but not least is Tainaka Ritsu who is the chill tomboy girl. Also serves as comic relief in the story.

I figured you'd be the one making this thread. 🤣
Anyway, the characters feel like the cast from Lucky Star, Not that it's a bad thing. What I'm wondering is which music are they gonna use (original or songs already out there) and how good are they gonna play them.
Also, from what I've seen so far, Ritsu seems to be the least appreciated among the four. I wonder why seeing as she's closest to the most popular character in Lucky Star.
Duh! Who else will if I don't. 😮
And yeah, I ordered them in descending popularity. Ritsu seemed cool though~ Oh well. She still gets attention, though not as much as the other top two. There isn't much difference in Ritsu's and Tsumugi's fanbase anyways.

I really like this anime along with the manga too.
This series mainly reminds me of Hyakko and Alice Quartet quite a bit.
From the characters I really like Mio and Mugi.
More Mio, though. Haha.
But I'm enjoying the anime a bit and can't wait for more.

Maybe there's a reason for that...
Anyway, I don't care at all, as you probably know, because I feel anime, especially anime based on manga, consistently disappoints me.

I'm loving it so far. It's fun and cute. My favorite of the girls is Yui at the moment; she's ridiculous to the point of being lovable. I like the other three as well though.
But yeah, it's an enjoyable show. With all the comparisons, I'm thinking I probably need to go and watch Lucky Star now.

There's 1 reason, Ritsu isn't an Otaku. I'm loving the show so far, and Yui is just so damned adorable!

I read through your character descriptions, doc, and I guess the characters have been "redesigned" a little for the anime. Certainly seems a bit different from their archetypes within the manga.

She's the lead, so she'll get noticed more. Because she's the lead, she also gets the most "pimped" outfit. If she wasn't the lead, I don't think she would've been that popular.
Leads always have that X-factor.
@Bunny: Those were just shallow descriptions on my part based on the first episode, so don't take it to heart. 😛 Though they are right, I guess.

Never watched this type of anime / manga before where the plot revolves around a bunch of hot chicks ( and nothing more? 😲 ), but still got the feeling that it's generic, was wondering if there's any guy in this anime (manga)? if yes then probably i'd watch it.
*edit : i mean guy who has a significant role 🙄
