Have you ever finished a shoujo that you had followed for sooo long and just LOVED? Then the ending just killed it for you? Talk about it here.

Me?

Well, the only shoujo that REALLY left my blood boiling was Hot Gimmick. Throughout the whole story I thought the heroine was just slightly confused about her relationships & I thought it would turn out better... but.... ....yeah... She was a little more than confused. 🤣

What about you guys?

Miman Renai was kinda odd, but not overly 😀 That's the only one I can think of at the moment (recently finished it)

The Prince's Cactus was probably the worst/weirdest I've read...all of the conflicts were resolved in one or two chapters, all of a sudden. I guess it got canceled and had to wrap things up...

Not specfically...I mean, I tolerated the ending for the most part, but somethings just killed me. DX

Shinshi Doumei Cross

WTF is with the marrying both of them? seriously, pick Takanari (I think that was his name) already, girl!

Shugo Chara! (spoilers for Encore!)

I wanted Amu to get with Ikuto, dammit! What's with the unofficial-on-who-she-gets-with ending?! and yes, I'm talking about Shugo Chara encore!

Endings where it's not "official" on who the main lead ends up with really irritate me. -_-'

Kare wa Tomodachi I didn't really love it but the ending was just sorta weird the whole final volume was tbh the tone change was completely unexpected. Saboten no Himitsu it was just such a clichéd none ending not even a future scene to round it up really sorta ruined the manga a little.

As soon as I read the first sentence, the first manga that came to my mind was Hot Gimmick. One of the worst shoujos ever written!

I was also really ticked off about the ending to Dear! by Kako Mistsuki. I had such high hopes for this shoujo, but apparently the manga-ka wanted to end it quickly because she suddenly pairs up the heroine with the guy you know was supposed to get rejected. It's a love triangle story and all the normal signs have another guy being the one she's supposed to choose, but instead we get this half-assed ending where she suddenly falls in love with the other guy right out of the blue. It's absolutely terrible, but I guess I shouldn't have been expecting much since this particular manga-ka isn't known for writing very long series. Still, it doesn't stop me from being spectacularly disappointed.

A lot of shoujos written by Saito Chiho always end up falling flat towards the end. Reading her stuff is always so predictable too. She's all about the drama from beginning to middle, but once it gets towards the end, it's just ridiculously poor writing. I never expect much from her, or else I'd be disappointed anytime I picked up one of her shoujos.

I actually liked the ending of Aishiteruze Baby. It made me think about the story from the little girl's point of view and how the main character had been important to her. I teared up a little.

As for disappointing endings, that would be Click. It's not that I can't handle tragic endings... oh, fine, maybe I can't. The couple was meant to be, but then there is a twist that ruins it all. That said, I don't hate the series. It was still interesting.

Random Walk by Yoshizumi Wataru
I get that the title is self is RANDOM walk, but seriously 😕

Because I just recently finished Kare wa Tomodachi, I have to say I'm also really surprised with how the plot suddenly turns so...annoying. I almost wanted to stop reading it, but it was ending so what the hell.

I also want to mention Aishiteruze Baby. Though the manga ending is still better than the anime ending. Oh the horror.
