I like the story and how it portrays a different kind of girl. What I dont like is how some relationships seemed forced just so some characters would have a love interest.

It's been a while since i finished this but I'll change this review if ever i reread this manga.

I really like Ran, she's so cool and very funny hehe well it's just so happen.
But hey i really like Rei for Ran atleast he's cool and charming there's this mysterious
air surrounding him and i just like that type of guy.

Now i know that my ideal guy is someone like him. sh*t and were could i ever find the guy like that
I also want to meet my Mr. Right.

I thought this manga seemed an awful lot like Kodomo no Omocha; turns out the two mangakas are close friends. So Gals is basically Miho Obana's Kodocha smashed together with Miwa Ueda's Peach Girl. Peach Girl in turn is like a modern day version of Wataru Yoshizumi's "Marmalade Boy," which is also very similar to Kodocha. Who needs Kevin Bacon?

I've read this manga so many times I can't even count it. It's one of the only series I own completely and also one of the first series I read. I like it because it's not a typical shoujo manga and also focuses on all of the different characters. And Ran is so badass and cool ... she's not a weepy heroine like most protagonists. The only thing I didn't like was

I like Ran, she's cool. Pretty good shoujo manga. I wouldn't really consider this a romance manga. There's more romance in the side couples than the main one. I don't like Ran's goofball boyfriend. I wish "#2" was her boyfriend instead. I was sad when #1 got together with Ran's friend(initially I wanted him and Ran to be together but #2 seems to like Ran a lot). I don't like how dense Ran is but She's really strong(physically and mentally). My favorite couple is Miyu and Yamato.
My favorite chapter was chapter 1, That's when Ran's the coolest(she looks mature and someone to look up to). As the manga progresses, Ran seems to get younger(and more childish) and goofier looking(boyfriend's influence?). (This seems to happen a lot in older and longer manga's).
I've read about 5 volumes and not sure if I'll finish. In manga's about girl power, I think that getting boyfriends ruins it for me(more so when they're not supportive or strong enough).
