When I was little I was afraid of sharks coming up the shower drain. I think I got that from seeing part of a Saturday Night Live skit, maybe?? Was afraid of bees until I got stung by one; it hurt but I didn't go into anaphalactic shock so I quit being afraid of them.

so many "mixed messages" about bee stings.... do they hurt or not..?
I'm only scared of their stings, but if they're busy flower-ing, I like looking at them 🙂 (bumble bees are the best!!)

I think I need to get stung by one so I would stop being afraid of them. I figured they would be worse than a wasp's because they're bigger. Wasp's sting hurts.

blah wasps..... that something i was not afraid of as a kid, but I should have been. The place i grew up in was full fo them. I would nock down their nest and smash the larva or catch them pull off the wings and feed them to ants. I got stung more times than i can count. I got bit so many times I developed an alergy, now when i get bit i have to take a antihistime with in an hour, or go to urgent care.

When i was small i used to have recurring dreams that i was free falling, even though i was not at the edge of the bed, i always felt that i would crack my skull if i reached the bottom, i would always wake up suprised that i was still in bed.
Just 4 months ago when i was vacationing in the caribbean i grew a healthy fear of tarantulas by the end of the trip i had seen 7 full grown.
Well, when I was a kid, I was afraid of water because
I was specialized in dinosaurs, alligators and stuff like
that and I knew where thet lived and what they ate. 🤣
Then I started hating confined spaces, after my little brother
had made me go inside a luggage and then he was unable to
open the lock and It was summer and I had a lot of clothes.

.....What's that gotta do with water?
Hmmm....that bit about the confined space thing reminded me when my friends tricked me into a dog carrier cage. I forgot what happened exactly but they did lock it and rolled the cage around the floor. I don't think I ever got them back for that yet....

When I was little I used to love watching wrestling and I was a big fan of Hulk Hogan. One day, he was talking about what he feared and he said he used to think there were alligators under the bed. That really stuck with me and so I used to be afraid of alligators under the bed. I used to jump as far away from the bed as possible if I needed to go use the restroom or something. 😀

I saw them rising from the dark depths as I swam.
Imagine that Plesiosaur coming below you. 🤣
