what would happen to you if manga/anime was banned where you live?

Nooo ><
It'd be awful...
Manga is really precious to me, and makes life more pleasent (aside from books and some other stuff I really like 😛 ) .
I would protest, try to undo such unjustice... (I mean, how can a girl live without her yaoi and bishis?^^)
🤣
But I'd still download and read it if it were banned...>.<
Hrodulf and Bjornolfr, you will not be forgotten.

you would be my rainbow in shades of grey.[/color]
If I had a fantasy self, it'd be a tentacle monster.

I'd do what I do now. Read it illegally on teh internetz. There's no way they could ban teh internetz! =O
Ever heard of the Great Firewall of China?
Anyways, if that happened, I would definitely take some sorta drastic action, not entirely because of manga/anime in particular, but because of the social rights that would be taken away as a result (direct or indirect).

i'd change my life's goal and become a computer programmer. THEN i'd start the illegal reading/downloading. :] freedom to the people!!

I know in this hypothetical situation there's supposed to be no way to 'get around' the banning of anime/manga, but I just can't see any scenario where that would be possible.
Take a look at marijuanna, it's "banned" any many people use it freely. Take a look at how effective 'the war on drugs' has been, or 'gun bans'. Simply banning something doesn't make it go away, it just makes it go underground.
If there were no legal way to get anime/manga I would go underground and damn well get anime/manga illegally. When the law is unjust you simply do not obey the law, that is what it means to be free.
Obey only the just laws, and when law becomes too unjust you fight back.

I'd throw a fit, destroy everything within a 100km radius with chainsaw and then try to get on with life. 😀
Although, if that didn't work and boredom or lack of entertainment became a critical disease, there's always this rebel army that I could join and then the options of the underground. I'm sure people more passionate about this issue would take care of the political/government overthrowing stuff so I'll just leave that to them. 😃

Omg, yes. That'd be brilliant. And think of the names we could use as slang for it... that would seriously be the most hilarious thing ever.

I think I would lose my mind and be forced to watch a lot of tv which I would hate.
ps. Who thinks whoever invented reality shows should be shot?

Or maybe make my own comics and stories.

I would go somewhere where it wasn't banned. Simple as that.

Probably gather a group of otakus and riot.
I would found the Holy Church of Manga and label the prohibition of manga as a religious disrimination. If our demands to relegalize manga stay unheard by the government, a crusade shall follow.
