I would still read it... Illegally... Or move to some underworld... Or overthrow the U.S. Government... Protesting... Speaking at rallies (I would, at least if I wasn't so scared of public speaking... XD) or learn an awesome language and move to the language's home (If they allow manga/anime...

I'd make my own manga. Then join an organization that goes against the ban. Maybe it'll be like the show "Toshokan Sensō" where one side goes against the military cracking down on bookstores and libraries. 🤨

If this the case, I'll make up stories for the series I like and "finish" them on my own. If they turn up good, I'll try to sell them in the local market and popularise them, dragging into this other people who draw or wish to write to or make their own creations. After 5 years, we'll be the most searched underground fancy. After other 5, the local market will be ours, and in another 5 we'll compete with manga and comics in the global market.
Uhm, of course, there are flaws in the plan, but anyway, 15 years from an animanga ban, there's something I can do. 🤣

Well This would probably ban all comics in generally, which would obviously put the country in an uproar, by readers and companies. I'm not a law abiding citizen so if I could hide it properly and there was a sure safe way for the government not to track me, I would definitely still read it.

What would happen to you if manga was made illegal AND there was no way for you to get your hands on any?

That's why there are Groups that do sub/translate manga/anime. LAWL.
Also, there is a thing called Internet I get my things if they are supposidly banned.

Sue the government for millions since that would essentially be a violation of human rights.

YES!!! AP Government pays off!

Actually, I would cry for hours first, since I don't really like breaking the law, unless it's blatantly not enforced.
