But yes, I do believe it is racist. I been saying this for quite a while now, even among our members on the forum, you guys can still see tinge of racism on matters involving politics. Though I try my best to report these bad comments.

As far as what Japan is doing, it is racism, but.....it is Japan. I mean come on... modern Japan, the place where you find panties in vending machines, hentai and the craziest most perverted media is in Japan. This isn't my opinion, it was an article on the news paper some time ago where they rated the most perverted nation in the world and japan was leading in the top places.

So I don't really think it's a big deal. Given I seen some rather bad-taste Japanese manga involving Obama, Bidden, and McCain.....A rather disturbing mixture....if not down right disrespect.

People these days are so over-sensitive.
It's a MANGA - and to me it looks more like a hentai manga if not ecchi, which is a genre that make shit up purely for entertainment (depending on the audience)
If people wanna start taking these genres seriously for their political statements, then why ignore all the similar ones that have been out (and some even translated) years before this?

There's a difference between asking for opinions and asking a silly question which makes people think that you're an idiot. This is not an attack; it is a statement.

It could be a racist thing, or it could be a jealousy thing. Racism/jealousy is not a new thing. It's been going on since the dawn of time. Some of you are generalizing rather than pointing fingers at individuals (ie. the mangaka) and I really don't see the need to.

Really? Can you give me a source/link on that? I'm actually interested now. I always thought Korean and Japanese culture was based off on the Chinese culture [well, not entirely but a large portion of it is]. And that's what I always thought was the reason why these three countries were so similar.

And how can the Japanese emperor be from korea? I thought during ancient times, when Japan and Korea was under China's sovereignty, Japan and Korea had to send officials to China to request permission to install new emperors. That was the reason why Dragons in the imperial court of China had 5 legs, but in Korea and Japan, the imperial dragons had 4 or 3 legs.

Actually, do some digging on this one. There was a slip up in 2004 where the Emperor inadvertently admitted Korean heritage.

...and Japan was not under China's sovereignty. At least Japan in the modern, post-Asuka period sense never was, and since the current imperial line comes from that period forwards, that's really an unrelated statement.

lol that was what I was trying to say. I know some would do that kind of favors but meant that it's highly unlikely that they would do that if they had all that fame and fans. This was on the news few weeks ago too. and it's just some manga anyway (there's no actual proof), though it probably rekindled some of the hatred they have for each other.. especially for koreans because of the Japanese occupation era..most of them are still iffy about what happened.
