I never understood why some guys use female avatars online like in wow
but in fighting games that's different
any explanations?
Well if you are talking about world of warcraft although it is all fantasy it is more personal I find because it is a roll playing game. I mean I feel like in an RPG game you are playing a roll in like a film and it is not often you play as the opposit sex in a film unless you are told to.
My point is that in a fighting game the characters are not made to be molded as such into your own alias I find them more sort of as a toll in which what ever tool feels right to you in order to get the job done so it is not really about gender and more about what feels right. From playing Soulcalibur I have found that I often play as the girl character dosent mean anything it just is.
I hope that makes sence.

I play fighting games. Very expirenced at them. Maybe play them too much. I can tell you its about style in short. Every single good fighting game makes each charactor unique.
They make sure each has a unique style and rythem.
After playing long enough fighters are just representations of the style.
Gender is only a part of the look and in some cases feel.
EDIT: Im talking about games like street fighter, soulcalibur, mortal kombat, tekken, dead or alive and whatnot.
I hope thats what you mean?actually i meant i understand that female chars in fighting games are different and depending on the style may suit a male gamer better than a male char
well i asked a friend who once chose female charactors in mmorpgs and he told me straight up. Ether to look at something better....or to scam male players.
🤣
I myself usualy choose a male player in mmorpgs as a resprestation of ones self but i'm sure that is not how everyone persives play on rpgs.

I believe in letting people do as they wish, as do I myself. Sometimes, of course, what I wish to do is kill them and they do not wish to die. This gives life interest.

I honestly don't know how to answer this.
To me, it doesn't really matter, unless it affects gameplay. Prolly something about playing as the opposite gender is exciting? 🤣 I have no clue.

I would almost always choose a female character in MMORPG type of game because i rather stare at a female ass/boob then a male ass when i am playing a game. Honestly, I cant imagine staring at the dude ass 24/7.

I've played as a girl character in a few online games. Personally it's much more fun for me to dress and create a sexy girl character than it is trying to make a good looking guy character.

I'm a guy so I don't want to stare at a guy during all those hours of gaming. That's why I create a girl avatar, staring at her from behind is a lot more entertaining.

in my case its only in asian mmorpgs, where the grind is too much 🤣 🤣

seconded.
The only time i create a male chara for myselfs is only in RO, in all other online MMORPG i usually plays girls chara, well i cant help it if the girl chara is much much more interesting in look compared to male chara. Thus said my chara in L2, Cabal, WOW, and RF all are female chara
But i dont scam people saying im a girl in RL, everyone who knows me know that im a guy playing female chara
Need a loving and lovely tsundere wife, anyone interested? >.<
On second thought yandere would also be fine.... O.O

Besides, the only people who would have the biggest problem with this are those who go onto the games to find a "gf" or "bf". Which is a bad idea because you don't know if they're a girl or a guy or if they're showing you a fake pic etc... If you're on to play the game, then i don't think it should matter whether the character gender corresponds with the actual gender or not.

Eh... Even though I don't look for gfs or whatever online, my biggest problem with this is that I find it hard to address the people playing female characters. It's kinda awkward, imo, to address these people as "she" out of reflex when the possibility of them being guys is very high. That's why I generally only play female characters when a class is genderlocked.

I sometimes choose female characters to look for slight gameplay and plot differences between the two genders, or see the romances for female characters.
Outside of fighting games, this is the only reason why I play as female characters.
