well, the only one I can see that might join the crew is a merman and the name that pops out is Jinbei, and if you look at it honestly now, Jinbei after the crew went through 2 years of training is around Sanji's level.... anyways, though I'd also like a girl idk about a mermaid unless if it's someone over 30 who's fin has split and can walk on land, so honestly the next person that I'd love to see join the SH is Jewlery Bonney.... but as always they need to have a dream as well which they can accomplish while being with the SH coz I think that's a pretty big thing as well 😛

Maybe a temporary member, like Vivi? But I don't really think there's going to be a new crew member soon, after all, every member has already changed, so the next arc might be the one where we discover them again. Besides, even if no one joined Luffy on his ship, he's met a lot of new people who'll probably show up again, so an arc where there isn't any new recurrent/important characer might be nice.

After reading ch.602, it is clear that neither Perona nor Hancock will join the crew. They are Ally.
I still believed the 10th crew was someone already introduced before..
If it's a new character then he/she must have strong impact balancing the rest of the crews' popularity..
From water7 arcs, when they recruited Franky... the new member already weird for me. Then franky was gaining popularity and slowly acceptable bcoz he's suupeer character, my reason is he's really a unique character. (very funny :haha 🙂
Then it failed me when Brook joined the crew. I never laught at his jokes.
He's a swordman - we have had Zoro, damn more powerful. He's echhi, panty lovers - Sanji is more pervert. He's musician Luffy always wanted ;lol; we can't hear him singing (we must watch anime to hear him sing). I don't think OP fans will consider buying a CD full of Brooks' singing. So his character failed to compete with the rest of the crews.

I hope the 10th member is someone who is good looking 😛 (like Trafalgar Law or Boa Hancock, they gain many fans)

A janitor seems unlikely; the crew usually works together to clean their ship, and having one person do everything doesn't give the same kind of team feel.

A scientist also seems unlikely; there are already elements of that in the crew what with a robot scientist, a weather scientist, a food scientist, a doctor, and now Usopp's tendency to work with biological stuffs for his sharpshooting attacks.

A merman/mermaid sounds reasonable, though I don't know what position is left that he/she would fill. Captain, first mate, navigator/treasurer, marksman/handyman, cook, doctor, intelligence, technician/shipwright, musician...All I can think of is artist. A thorough one - a painter, sculptor, designer, etc. - might work as an interesting new addition.

What? I think Brooks was a cool addition to the Strawhats. He's like the supernatural factor lol. You know how Trafalgar Law has that Panda in his crew? In a sense Brooks and that Panda are alike. lol. Plus Brooks makes the SH's more diverse IMO. 🤣

To be honost who ever said the thing about the crew needing a goal was right. The only person that was mentioned before that had a goal as far as i can tell, and is still a viable choice where the story is, is Jewelery Bonney. You don't know what her goal is but she wants to find some guy. I think she'll make an appearence and sice she has no crew anymore, and she is a female to boot, let's all pray shall we!
