He's a likable character, and have made sacrifices for the Strawhats.
If Oda allows a second swordman into the crew (Brook), then it is sensible for him to have another fighter like Bon clay to go with Sanji's (okama?) fighting style!

I think there is no another crew member that will be added..I'm just saying is that they consider their ships to be crew members as much as the others. So if i am not mistaken there are already 10 including Thousand sunny who changed Going marry as their first ship.

Didn't Oda hint that the Strawhats will get one more crew member in the new world? Luffy said he wants 10 people. As far as I'm concerned, the ship can be a crewmate, but a person?

I think a good question for this is if it is a new nakami then what type of person would they be, you need something that doesn't fill the same personality as anyone already aboard. Plus what would there job be cause it seems all the important ones are filled.

Though Straw Hats are known for their recklessness, i'm voting for tactician.
Fights are getting bigger and more people get involved, thus it seems necessary, more so if alliances are formed.

Jewelry Bonnie is my current favorite as next member followed by Smoker.
Coby is out, training to be splendid nemesis/rival for Luffy.

Also voting for some intelligent strategist/tactitian sort of person. Or, maybe on a more obscure note, a politician. Or an artist. Though I think the last one is unlikely to be true. 🙂 But I do think that they need someone planning their fights, or as a double agent sort-of deal who's good with government infiltration or politician/lawyer type things.

I'm thinking it's going to be a girl, too, just to balance out all the men on the crew. I hope she can fight, and I would love it if she wasn't totally human. If I had to place a bet on someone we've seen, it would be Jewelry Bonnie, though it's probably someone we've never seen.

I was thinking that what they need desperately is a scout / tactician / support type crew-member. Since their always charging head first into everything and making it through on willpower and raw strength. Would be nice for them to win in a "I love it when a plan comes together" kind of way. 😃
