shrugsI seem to be the only one who kind of liked how it ended. Itachi wasn't gonna win-kind of a given when his opponent is like the second most important person in a series and one of the hero's most important people) so he had to be offed somehow, but having Sasuke actually be the one to kill him feels a bit thematically screwy, 'cause it gives the character this really complicated dimension-killing the brother/taking revenge and that not healing the wounds-that nobody really wants to deal with in a kid's manga. Itachi dead 'cause he overestimated his strength fits in a bit more with the big picture (ties in with Orichimaru, probably foreshadows akatsuki, is the usual 'cause of a good guy landing in the hospital) and doesn't have the complications that Sasuke killing Itachi does (though granted, just Itachi being dead adds it's own flavor, nbut that's probably not gonna be addressed too much in canon.)

I hate the fact that Itachi finally died. It's gonna be kind weird now that we're sort one bad ass. What I'm looking forward to is Shino finally has the spotlight 🙂
