I think only people who've never had a brother or sister are intrigued by this genre. It does seem to be a rather popular plot device in a lot of manga and anime though which is sort of disturbing. 🙄

seriously real sibling love isn't as pretty as those in the manga my bigger sister keeps hollering me 2 do this and do that... i'm basically her servant. she makes me do chores and such... 🤢

Of course some people like this genre because they're just sick, but a lot of people like it, I think, because it's like the ultimate forbidden love. And forbidden love is really fascinating to most people. Incest is still sick though.

Too be fair i think in real life most of the people who read this genre would find two siblings sexually attracted to each other repulsive. I'm not sure why that doesn't carry over to manga, though. I guess it's just easier in manga to see the incest as just a slightly more complicated man/woman relationship, rather than the horrific brother/sister relationship that it is.

Okay it's manga, it's different from real life. Basically in order to read this you have to separate manga from real life. It's probably easier for ppl who have siblings to do this, because they know in reality that is not the case, and manga is just romanticizing on the subject. Lols you should do that for practically every manga you read, to some extent.

On another note, if you puke through Aki-sora, you can stand any sibling love. Not recommended. 🤢

Personally i dont hate incest that much, though i think it's a big No-No thing, of course i wont go as far as demanding all people to shun incest. This is my personal view, and others might take a different stand.

Most people says it sick, and i agree but i say why do people can accept same sex marriage and can't have any sympathy with incestual relationship? Or why do people can still tolerate cheaters better than those who did incest?

When u decide something dont do it with double standards, wrong is wrong and right is right. If you think incest is wrong i agree but why most people who view this can tolerate same sex marriage to a better degree?

Love is a difficult thing, and i believe nobody pained more with incestual relationship than those couple who involved directly in it. I have never been in incest love before, but i can imagine how painful it is for them when they realize that they love their siblings, the pain might be greater than that we might ever experienced.

I'm not saying it's right i'm just saying don't judge someone, we dont have that power, besides nobody likes to be judged by others also right? Do unto others what you want others do unto you.

Real life incest seems strange and kind of disturbing to me mostly because I can never see my sister as more than family or a male cousin in romantic terms. If someone else does, then ok, to each their own.

I've come to realize as of lately in Spanish soap operas, they have had implied incestuous relationships but it's no shock because I'm sure in each culture incest is not uncommon.

I'm a pretty bad fangirl because I like a few pairings with brothers (be it anime/manga or a TV series) but I guess knowing the characters aren't real and the actors aren't truly related changes the fact it's incest. 😐 I find I can't read hetero incest mangas but I can read certain things for pairings that involves two brothers...the side effects of liking yaoi shakes head

I think the main problem with real life incest is that it isn't as innocent as manga or anime usually depicts it. Sadly it is often the case that the older partner (usually male) forces the other party into the relationship. With time the twisted emotions that resulted from the assault(s) may even be construed for love as the victim tries to escape from reality.

I really don't think there has ever been a case of two siblings both gradually becoming attracted to each other and "falling in love".

I'm close with my sisters, far more than any physical relationship. So you could say that manga and anime are representing a shallower, sicker form of "love."

The only thing that's legitimately 'wrong' with incest is the fact that children are likely to experience severe abnormalities and mutations. Any other reasoning has no foundation in fact.

Because of this, it's very possible, under certain circumstances, to develop feelings of attraction for a sibling. Some may see it as a mental illness, but the real reason most don't feel that way is because evolution has burned it out of our system. Well, evolution and social conditioning. Evolution did its part in ensuring that those who acted on their feelings didn't often procreate with perfect success, and social conditioning meant that we were brainwashed--in a way--for our own good, to not feel (or at least act on) attraction for close family.

Psychologically, you don't choose who you're attracted to. But if your parents raised you well, you likely won't be attracted to someone after learning they are close family (blood).

There's a reason why they call it falling in love, cause you can't help it, reason and feelings does not always walk at the same path, at least not for everybody. And also if you read all of my comment i believe that incest is not good, what i dont approve is reproaching someone cause they have an incest love, what i hate most is when people being a hypocrite, at least where i live people let corruptor on the loose, while thief is being beaten to death in interogation, ironic and hypocrite.

I dont know incest is right or wrong and i dont intend to judge others, cause i know i dont have the capabilities to do that, hell i would even says though that i dont have any incest relationship i'm maybe even more guilty than those who had. Everyone has their own demons, you, me and everyone. As for the case two siblings gradually fall for each others, i wouldnt rule that out but also i wouldnt say it exist, who knows, i dont for sure.

And also theres one thing im wondering about the definition of incest, whats the limit? Cause in some society it's a common practices to marry between far cousins, even cousins, in fact it's even recomended by their parents. I live in this world for 26 years, but 1 thing i've learned that there's more to learn here, even if i live a millenia i might not understand them all.
