This is probably one of the first forums that I frequent for long periods of time/hasn't died a month after I joined. It's one of the four that I visit regularly. (The other three are very small and inactive, so I by far spend the most time on this one.)

But the reason I didn't vote "yes" was because there are so many forums on the Internet, I really don't want to make that judgment.

This is a friendly forum, with all kinds of people from everywhere. Also the lay-out is greatly done compared to other forums. It's a 'cozy' lay-out. xD And the posting system is also practical. The forums are nicely organized~

Bottom line: This is a great forum community.

I made this topic mostly because yesterday I noticed that every site I post on sucks! I post on a lot of sites, but they all suck now! I used to post on GAIA all the time, but now, even with all the activity, I just can't post there anymore. Nobody makes any interesting topics and everyone is TRYING to be a jerk. And on my like four other ones people are talking about how the forums suck now and others are trying to defend it. And then I come here and everyone is just like "who cares?" about everything that can upset me. Here it's like one of those quiet country towns where when you make a mistake someone helps you with a smile unlike the big city where if you fall over people just laugh and steal what you dropped. I'm not sucking up either just relieved that you're not letting all the internet drama affect this site. 😀 😀

Sucking up is only sucking up really, when it's false. But I definitely wasn't lying at all.

I have fond memories of a forum or two that I used to frequent, but they kind of went to hell and/or died. 🤢 Some of the topic digressions there were quite amazing & amusing, but they probably did contribute to their eventual demise (more or less).

MU is the only forum I'm currently active in, so yeah, it's the best I've found. 😀

This is a pretty good forum, but the 'best' forum I've ever spent time on is the bioware forums. Not only is it well maintained and filled with mature intelligent people, but the game developers actually talk on their own forums. It's pretty high quality.

Hmmm im only really active in another forums that is probably closer then this because 90% of the people on it are from New Zealand and quite a few have met each other in real life (its a Gaming forum if you want to know 😀 ).
Other then that forum I think the Mangaupdates would be the secound best (close community from what I have seen, and it has the best layout of most forums i've been on 😛 ) so I voted Manga?

Can't say it's the best forum I've seen, but that's probably because I'm a member of some "commercial" forums ( meaning someone paid for a professional layout and a lot of useful stuff ).

MU is good, cause it suits our needs and it gives us almost all we want. It's not good for extreme otakus, though. More virtual socialising=less real socialising.

Well sucking up here would be pretty pointless... As it won't get you anywhere. There isn't even a single advantage you could get from doing so. We won't be going easier on you if you spam, you won't get cookies, we won't ban that idiot that you hate, etc...

Well for me this was the first and still the only forum on which I am active. I guess this was the only forum that had enough interesting topics for me to post in.
Of course, we owe Manick the design and the fact that there is even a forum here, and we owe the mods that things haven't gone down to hell that fast (I'm not giving props to myself, I am the last to have joined the team, they where doing a great job before I came)...
But what really made this place was the users, they made the topics, they posted in them, they kept the conversation interesting, etc...
So in the end, if you want this forum to stay as good as it is, or get even better... it's up to you more than up to us. (And that would probably exclude behavior like the post above me)
