hmmm, might want to start a new thread before you lead this one of course,
P.S. girls are picking up
yeah...but it's still a 2 to 1 ratio
but it's the aliens/neither that are in minority here.
& apparantly, there are no hermaphrodites online now.

I must be the only one taking it easy in college. I'm taking 4-5 courses each semester, and my enrollment is payed by the state.

nerds often have an easier life in school. Anyway, 41 over 25 is about 2. So it's still one to two ratio.
no Hermaphrodite? I see someone haven't voted yet............. 😀 hosti.......

Taking it easy does not equate to having an easier life in school. You fail at being a smartass.

i object the stereotypes about girls and yaoi....it's not fair when some of us are innocent and are label as the yaoi fans just because other females like weird intimate malexmale relationships....yaoi & yuri both creep me out, and if girls are supposedly enjoy yaoi, aren't guys like to read yuri, too? 🤢

+1 for the girls.
I find just hanging out in fandoms with lots of yaoi fans it kinda rubs off. Seriously, i'm not a yaoi fan but I cant watch american TV anymore without seeing the subtle gay undertones O.o. Be careful yaoi-fangirlism is contageous

Yeah, that is so depressing, and I've had to witness various cases. I wonder if they'd open their eyes if they imagined a hyperbolic case of a world full of yaoi.
... That's scary too.
But I've also known the rare, special cases of girls that are against yaoi. Huzzah to all of the ones out there that are like that!
Hmm, it does seem like the female community is getting stronger here. Makes me wonder if there's more girls reading manga than watching anime. =).
(Oh, and to try and answer Cerulean's question... I guess you -could- equate it to that since there are many of us that uh... enjoy that sort of stuff [although, personally, I don't really find it that appealing], but I guess we have to end the stereotypes that go "he's a male, therefore he likes yuri" or "she's a female, therefore she likes yaoi")

I don't mind a world of that. Made thing easier for me.

You should go to a forum which is mostly Shoujo. There are tons of girls there and they are always asking for guys to come. I wonder why they always have someone who put up the polls asking for the number of girls and guys when they know only about .01% of them are guys.
I'm not defending Yaoi or not. I just like to point out not all Yaoi are explicit. The ratings are from Shounen-ai to heavy Yaoi. Just like not all Shounen are consisted mostly with fighting scenes full of blood, gore, body being chopping up, like alot of people in Shoujo forums seem to think.

I would think the girls would out number the guys since I think like has been said before, yaoi is prevelant and I think girls are more likely to reply to a post like this.
Girls are also more likely to enjoy genres like shoujo, yaoi, yuri and shounen manga like bleach or Till death do us part (Great manga by the way) where as I'm not sure a straight guy would delve into yaoi or admit to reading shoujo.

But you have to admit that most girls do like BL manga.
However, personally I don't like Yaoi/Yuri.

I've filtered yaoi though...It's amazing how I see like 50% less releases a day because of that.so you filtered out yaoi......why? Don't you like handsome guys?
I don't like handsome guys on handsome guys. 🤣 I find yaoi kind of scary. The same goes for yuri and hentai.

Well....how about BL manga? That seem to be non explicit.
Wait....are you implying that the large number of highlighted Yaoi is actually because guys read them? not girls?
Hey manick.....I'm not the one who read practically every manga ever existed, including yaoi/yuri.

I have the feeling about 30% of all posts somehow end up as yaoi discussions.
And Ares6 always seems to be in the thick of the discussion.
Personally. i don't read yaoi, but don't care much. I wonder if many US poeple reject yaoi for religious reasons. There seem to be many anti homosexual tendencies in the US
