I had to think about it, I'll read everything that looks interesting. But then I realized. It's almost always shoujo/romance. I'm a guy btw 🙂 .
Seems like shar9261 doesn't understand me 😀 , for manga I mostly, almost always read story's that contain romance.
But for anime, bah, I agree with shinorei, imo most shoujo/romance anime's are really bad. I download/watch them to pass the time sometimes. I'm more into shounen for anime.

Guy: I'll read just about anything. Start blending things together (who would have thought an action/comedy/mecha/romance/school life/shounen manga and anime would have worked out great?) and you start getting the best of many worlds. Though if I look into my favorites, it tends to lean more to the shounen/seinen regions. What I'll read also depends alot on my mood.

On a completely unrelated note... Claymore has to be the most adult shounen I have ever read.

I'm pretty indiscriminate when it comes to genres. I like yuri, shoujo, and seinen the most right now, but I read all of them.

hmm im a girl and i like shounen/seinen more than shoujo/josei. but that doesn't mean i dont like to read the latter. but i'm a tomboy. i just like fighting, sports, and games over romance and drama. 'course i do read lots of other genre, but that's for another topic. =]

I read shoujo/josei and yaoi/shounen ai most, but sometimes I read shounen/seinen too, although I'm not into shounen manga that's like 90% action and 10% plot. Besides, in terms of artwork... let's just say that I think bishounen look hotter than bishoujo 😀

I always try to read different types of mangas since I'm so picky of what I like. If I don't try to read many types of mangas, I'll only follow a few series then. Plus I tend to read mangas people recommend when I'm out of things to read, just so that I can discuss the series along with them.

doesnt really matter if its shoujo or shounen as long as the story can keep me interested, then i dont mind reading it 😁
