I went both my Junior and Senior year, both times with just a bunch of friends. Both times, it was a large group of girls with one or two guys thrown in for good measure (mostly boyfriends) and both times everyone had a ball without sex. And I know there was no sex because everyone went to the after-prom party our school throws (to keep students out of hotels) straight from the prom.

At my school, prom is only $10 and after-prom $5. Way better than the first and third high school I went to where tickets were $50+

Went to mine. Wore a suit for the first time. First time being out with friends at night 🤣 The food was okay...but dessert SUCKED. Whoever thought it was a good idea to serve Tiramisu....is such an idiot. Not many finished it. Didn't really dance...heck what's with people and club dance nowadays anyways...urgh
Then sis came and said it was time to go....so early too. Got in the car, found mom and dad were sleeping. They woke up and said, "What, already?"

Still cheaper than my school. Prom = $80, $85 if you bought your ticket on the second day, and the after-party of choice is located far away from the main location and costs $10.
