I'm a yaoi fan and now I've made my friend curious laugh
She wants to try reading a yaoi manga, but I don't really know what story I should give her.
I thought maybe yaoi was a bit too extreme and I wanted to give her a shounen ai,but she said she want the real thing xD
Can someone suggest a good one for beginners? smile wink grin

Not sure which one will be good, but my first yaoi manga was probably Cut by Kawai Touko..
Or maybe Deep Flower by Yamakami Riyu. Both are good, more than good but don't know if this is what you're aking for..
Hm, maybe Abiru Junjou and Darling by Ougi Yuzuha? They're kinda cute and not "extreme".. Should be 'k for the first time.

Koisuru Boukun was one of my firsts, and I also think Bukiyou na Silent or any of Takanaga Hinako's works are good for beginners.

my first one was cut

but it really depends on what the person likes

look what kind of shounen ai or shoujo's she likes.. what she wants in a story

something dramatic? something with a real story.. or action and a lot of smexyness?
what kind of guys she likes in anime or manga?
or does she like some kind of anime? and is there a yaoi doujinshi from it?

i dont know her so i dont know what to suggest

I think I read like a chapter or two from these two series for my first try with yaoi (and still have yet to read them).

The first one I completed was Kuma to Interi (absolutely love ONO Natsume).
Then I read the ultra dramatic: The Cornered Mouse Dreams of Cheese followed by its sequel The Carp on the Chopping Block Jumps Twice.

I guess I like slice-of-lifey/dramatic plots? Yeah... just ask your friend what she prefers... a shoujo-ey story? Or a josei-y story? The ones I finished are josei-ish. biggrin

sakende yaruze!
The story takes it slow and the "action" only takes place in latter volumes iirc.
