I really don't know why someone keep changing this manga to shonen-ai but this is basically yaoi. There isn't a full on "SEX" scene but there are scenes that would consider it yaoi like going beyond just "kissing".
If anyone think against it, discuss here.

I also think this is yaoi. But so far, I think this is more shounen ai then yaoi.
The way I categorize them is that, shounen ai is more "light", less intense in the love department. While yaoi is full on action and the emotions between guys.
Like many of Miyuki sensei's work, you can tell the guys have feeling for each other. But they just do not step over the line that "makes" it a yaoi. This story is quite tame compare to other yaoi, even the more tamed one.

Well it doesn't matter if most of the story is like a Shounen ai if there's a somewhat explicit sex scene it's a Yaoi. I personally haven't read it yet, but I thought I heard it was a Yaoi ...

Umm I'll edit this later to point out scenes if it is a Yaoi. (That is after I've read it)
But yes even if it has just one scene that would be considered Yaoi then it is a Yaoi.

1st Edit: sigh I was planning to just skim the story to find a scene, but now I'm caught into the story line... my 2nd edit is going to take longer.

2nd Edit
.... Ch 9 does not make me think of a Shounen ai ... maybe a milder Yaoi, but definitely not Shounen ai.
I'll probably come back since there's another 9 chapters to catch up to.

3rd Edit
Never seen something at towards the end in ch 11 in a Shounen ai ...
(But then again I've read a lot more Yaoi than Shounen ai, so it's still a bit difficult for me to tell the difference. That is from the milder Yaoi, and more extreme Shounen ai.

It is hard to decide which it should belong to. After I made my first post, I have thought over it, and i thought it might actually lean more towards yaoi than shounen ai.
But then again, most of Miyuki sensei's similar works are shounen ai... But this is a more extreme shounen ai, and very mild yaoi.

It is very much a Yaoi, there are clearly sex scenes. I remember the first one being sort of Titanic-ish. But it only evolves from there.

If people are going to be that obtuse in categorizing it might as well label it as Shounen-ai + Smut. >_>

You know, I'd say it depends on the magazine the manga is serialized in. If it's a yaoi magazine, then it's a yaoi manga. Even though it may have some shônen-ai tones, but as long as it's in a yaoi magazine it's a yaoi manga and this is the case with all manga.

I don't think there's such a thing as "yaoi" magazines and "shounen-ai" magazines in Japan 😐 In Japan there are "BL" magazines, which could basically have non-explicit, mildly explicit, moderately explicit, or very explicit stories. Bara magazines are another thing entirely, of course, and I think some BL magazines cater to the more hentai/smut end of the spectrum than others, but in any given BL mag there could be shounen-ai and yaoi stories.

As for the topic at hand: I only read the first few chapters and then dropped it because of the shotacon, but if there are sex scenes, whether explicit or half-shown, as long as they're not completely fade-to-black, it'd count as yaoi according to MU classification.
