How's the Categories now? It looks like it was a bug.

Is there anyway you can remain on the page you were on when you log in instead of being re-directing you to the user CP? Not sure if this is a bug or if done by choice. Thanks.

Quite easy to do for the full desktop site, so I have done that. Mobile uses a separate login form so that would be more difficult. Is mobile what you wanted?

I was referring to desktop, and it has been fixed. Thanks a lot!

Have you had the chance to look at this?

Yes. It's caused by a JavaScript feature that doesn't exist in Safari 14, and is due to some of the packages we depend on. I was also able to reproduce it on the iOS simulator. Fixing it is not the most immediate priority however, so I haven't been able to dig deeper.

Hey, thanks for even being willing to look into it for me, it means a lot!

I've just deployed an update which will hopefully help folks who have been losing work.
Most forms on the site should now be storing the current field values in history. If you navigate away accidentally, the fields should restore to their previous values shortly after navigating back. On some forms (like series, authors, groups, etc) there is now a "Reset this Form" option which will clear the state. You shouldn't have to use it, but it's there just in case.
This has been one of the bigger complaints from everyone. Please let me know if the current solution works or if you have issues.

Thanks as always for the updates!
Feel free to say no to this if it's too much work, but I think it'd be nice to get a basic list of improvements/updates that's being worked on and/or considered. Mostly this would be helpful in knowing what's been suggested already or not, so we don't repeat a suggestion that might already be in development.
Also, I know this has already been mentioned, but I'd just like to echo that I'm also getting pretty severe lag while making comments with the new preview system.

If I clear my browser cookies, then start a new session and log in again, the "More New Posts" link on the home page shows me a list of every topic that has been created over the past 20 years. In the past, it would only show new forum posts made since the last time I checked/logged in.

I am aware of this issue. I believe if you refresh the page fixes it and only shows you things from the last 6 days. After that it should work properly.

I haven't seen this. Can I have details about what your hardware is, and what your OS version and browser is? You can send them to me in a private message if you'd like.
I plan to replace the markdown editor. I don't like it, and lots of other folks have said they don't like it. I've started looking into other options.
Right now, we're handling major changes like moderation fixes and dark mode. Once we get down to working on individual small features like recommendations etc we will probably have a better tracker or list to notify people of what's happening.

Tested and yes that works, thanks. It would be nice if it could remember what I have and haven't looked at since my last login via some internal token but if it's not feasible under the new update don't worry about it.

I remember someone mentioning in the previous thread that they were experiencing slowdown with making comments right when the switch was first made. I could be misremembering the specifics though. And this could be a new issue since I don't recall the lag being this bad previously.
I'm on Windows 10.0.19045 and using Vivaldi 7.0.3495.23.
I just tested this on my phone (with Kiwi Browser) and had no issues with lag, but then tried it again with Firefox 133.0 on PC and that also lagged. The lagging starts off relatively minor but gets worse and worse the longer I type.
I do not experience any noteworthy/comparable lag while browsing the rest of the site, only while making comments.

The new entry list edit button looks nice but it did remind me that we do lack that feature on the /series/ page itself and honestly it does need it over there if it isn't too much trouble.
+10 -5 just isn't enough if you want to input that you binge read 300 chapters of something without adding it to your list first.🤣
do do do nuts lets go nuts
