New Site Update Thread 2

10000% this, I usually go directly to the page of the manga/manhwa/manhua itself that I'm reading rather than finding it in my reading list under whatever title it was originally listed as, and mass updating is often a pain there.
Even just doing some relatively smaller increment like 8 chapters is annoying because you have to do +10, -5, then +1 three times, especially since the new update where now if you click it again to increase it too soon after clicking it, it often doesn't register the second click and goes back down (so for example it's on 27, you click it twice to get it to 29 but after the second click it shows 29 for a brief moment before going back down to 28).
It's also frustrating if you accidentally click one too many times and so you have to do -5 and then 4 +1 clicks just to do -1. I'd much rather be able to edit it directly and type in myself the exact number I'm currently at.

I was not aware of this. I'll look into it tomorrow.

The new entry list edit button looks nice but it did remind me that we do lack that feature on the /series/ page itself and honestly it does need it over there if it isn't too much trouble.
I added the edit button to series pages.

Thanks for the quick response, this will make a world of difference when I'm binge reading!
And whoops, I'd had it in my head after I first noticed it that I should report that bug, but I guess I forgot I hadn't already done so. 😅 I've been kinda busy irl recently, so a lot has slipped my mind lately.

Hi. The instructions for the "Release Date (old release)" field say:
"If this was released before today, please specify the date. To paste a date in format YYYY-MM-DD, click the first entry (usually day or month) in the input field and paste."
But the actual format is DD-MM-YYYY, not YYYY-MM-DD.

I'm not sure if this is an error or how it worked previously or if it is already changed, but there was no way to know if someone responded to/quoted my messages in previous thread. Other than finding the thread and checking all messages since then.

I have a small problem related to increasing read chapter count. Previously it worked something like: I press "c.50", text changes from dark gray to orange and after some time it goes gray again and updates to "c.51". Now I click c.50 it immediately updates to c.51, turns orange and stays like that. Problem: without refreshing the page I have no idea if counter really got updated, moreover I sometimes break the process by refreshing the page too fast.

It has always been like that. We definitely need to improve notifications. One of the things on our list.

Others have complained about the reliability of the buttons. If it fails to update, it should revert to the old value. Unfortunately it looks like that's not working. It is on the list of things for us to look at.

I have made some changes to the way the series list increment buttons work. Please let me know if it's more reliable now.

Right away noticed the improvement to the increment buttons. I'm no longer experiencing the reliability issues that Ruruskadoo described.

I cannot access the Lists page, even after clearing cookies and cache. What to do? I rely on this to track my reading.

I don't know what you changed but now it's worse when you want to go to a series page and change the read numbers it won't let you do it unless the page finishes loading the forum posts at the bottom, which is useless in my opinion, and it takes 7-8 seconds to do it.
And like others said above, My lists is inaccesible.
Try going to https://www.mangaupdates.com/series/clae4et/fuufu-ijou-koibito-miman for example and increase or edit the numbers. It doesn't do anything until the user comments, forum posts and dark mode buttons show up which takes 7 to 8 seconds.
