Naruto MMORPG

Ive recently realised that PC games nowadays are getting pretty repetitive. Its all RTS, FPS, or RPG.
So my cousin just started watching Shipuuden and he said, "There should be a Naruto MMORPG like World of Warcraft, i'd pay $50 a day to play it". Which got me thinking.....HELL YEAH! It'll be like, choose your country, and the type of ninja you wanna be(taijutsu/genjutsu/medical/all-rounder)! We're getting all excited just thinking about it! (lol, no, im not a narutard....its just that i would just love to get my hands on a game like this).
I would so give up WoW in a blink of an eye if it were to be made.... 🤣

that sounds like an idea. the naruto universe is easliy large enough to cater for a mmorpg 😃

You'll have to settle for the DBZ one coming out next year. 😀

I like the idea of MMORPG's , but i hate world or warcraft. it's just gay and craply designed, i'm saying that even though it's the best MMORPG out ATM. The best for now, but it still sucks. I'm sure some new MMORPG's will come soon though to follow WOW's success.

Whoa.....as a WoW player, it might sound biased if i say its not gay....coz its not. Seriously, if u wanna call a game "gay", its those dancing games that asians are so hyped up about. And about design, if you're talking about graphics, blizzard purposely made it "crappy" so it could be run on 32mb graphics card so ppl with outdated machines can play it. They also tried to make it look like WC3 as close as possible. If you're calling it "gay" coz of graphics, then you're one of those "bad graphics = bad game". But if you're calling it "gay" because it gets repetitive and so on, so does every other freakin game.
I'm not saying that WoW is the greatest game of all time...coz it isn't. But to call it "gay" is just wrong. 😔
WoW certainly isn't the best game in the world, but as an MMO, its the best out there, yes.
And yeah, the graphics are made purposly like that so that even someone with a crappy integrated graphics card can run it. You can go into the settings and make it look ALOT better, depending on the card you have, though.
And actually, the DBZ MMO looks alot like WoW, HUD wise. I havn't seen gameplay or anything yet, though.
Also, there are Seven Dragon Balls.
Saying DBZ needs to die is a personal opinion. For alot of people it was their first anime (Myself included, saw it way back in the early 90's), so it will always hold a special meaning, just because of that.
I look forward to playing the MMO, in hopes that it becomes fun.
Of course, everything eventually gets repeatitive. I've played WoW less than a month, and I already find the constant need to grind levels to do anything annoying, but thats just how it works out.
The only thing game I can honestly say I play on an average basis without getting bored is Guitar Hero (and GH2, of course). Well, there is one other game I have played since it came out, and continue to do so, and thats Burnout Revenge. I think for a game to be REALLY fun, you gotta be able to catch someones interest quickly, and be able to keep it. Thats a given, though. The hard part is always maintaining that interest. I think with Guitar Hero its just that I love music, especially rock music, and everytime I play its about doing my best on the song. In that aspect, its always fun to play, because everytime ya play the song is different (unless you get 100% all the time, but I've only done that around ten times in each game).
What makes Burnout fun on the other hand is the crazy aspect of maximum destruction in a race, with crazy cars going at crazy speeds. Its totally outrageous, and thats what makes it so damn fun.
If they can manage to make an MMO that maintains being fun, without becoming nothing but a grind fest, then thats the game I wanna play. Afterall, my moto is if the game is no longer fun, stop playing. I do this quite often, especially if I am at a boss I can't beat, ill get annoyed, so ill stop playing that game for a little while, play something else, then come back to it.
However, when you break down pretty much every MMO, its nothing but gaining levels and grinding the levels because they want on obscene amount of Experience points for the next level (to make the game harder, aswell as to differentiate between console RPGs). For example. I have a friend who plays Maple Story, and his character is above level 100. It takes him literally MILLIONS of experience points to gain a single level, yet he still plays. I gave up Maple Story because they wanted me to start getting half a million experience points to level. Thats just crazy. WoW is more fun in that aspect, as my main is at level 18, and I still don't even need 50,000 experience points to level. Still, even with that, most good monsters will give you about 100 points, and the real points comes in questing (at least 500 points a quest, most times).
Still, an MMO without levels and stuff would be fun, but it would also be weird, because that would probably be taking the RPG out of the MMO, and then people wouldn't know what to do to accompish any goals.
Oops, I rambled. Apologies.

Ah, no worries, that ramble was...refreshing 😛 Yeah, i guess if you like the theme, like for your example its music, you wont get really bored of it. You know what i miss in PC games? FIGHTING! they just don't make fighting games for PC anymore....why? coz it causes your keyboard to get stuffed. But my question is...who the heck cares? I'd rather buy a new keyboard than not have used it to its maximum potential. Theres a couple of free online ones, but they're not as good as the ones on PS2, 360, PSP and what not. I really hate the fact that i have to buy a console to play my favourite genre. Im actually saving up for a PSP 😛 If only they made Tekken, Bleach, Naruto, DOA and the other great fighting games for PC....but that wont be happening 😔
Racing games are fun once in a while, but you get bored quite easily. GH for me....looks a little weird(no offense) . Seriously, i saw this vid for a GH competition and i was laughing my head off! Its.....lol..i just cant describe it XD. The reason to this is because the thing quite small compared to a full sized guitar...and it looked so damn funny in the vid. The arcade games with the guitar are bigger if I'm not mistaken. Almost real sized maybe.
Anyways, we're getting off topic. Lol, back to the Naruto MMORPG. I really hope someone makes it during my lifetime >_<

naruto mmorpg, well, there's already one similar to what you said, you make your character, choose your nation, train to be either tai, gen, ninjutsu or mixed ninja and more.
but it's text based.

that's the first one that comes to mind when i heard you say naruto mmo...
it wouldn't be too bad to see a game like that, it has a lot of potential but it would involve a different leveling up system than what people are used to if it's to fit the series. The missions will pretty much have to drive the entire game, there's sort of a lack of explorables and killables in the naruto world.
if someone manages to flesh all that out, it might turn out pretty well, although i don't think it'll get made, not anything official anyways. you'll probably get ninja based mmo instead...

Burnout's load times suck ass. Otherwise, it'd be a lot more fun than it actually is.

@greydrak
Urgh...text based...I'd rather play D&D! and i don't even wanna come near D&D! 🤣
I reckon theres quite a bit of explorables. Really, all those filler episodes showed quote a few new places. And the movie showed that there are other ninja countries overseas. You're right about killables though, besides every freakin wild animal that lives in the forest...oh yeah and those giant ones in the examination forest, theres not much to that i can think of....unless im missing something. 😛

hey, my friend said this same thing and he even said he made up the classes and all that. I never got to see how it turned out cuz he moved to texas, but...
Any way yeah it would be fun.
(one piece would also make a good MMO. not bleach though, but maybe 666 satan.)

Really?
Burout has never taken my PS2 that long to load. Is yours an older model?
