Though I dislike Nirvana, I can definitely live with their music.
Some artists simply deserve respect for what they achieved throughout music-history.
I don't like Bob Marley's music either, but he was a great man that managed to move many hearts and his message is, without question, admirable. For this I like him, but I don't listen to his music for recreational purposes.

Music I "cannot stand" is music that makes me turn off my device in distaste.
Pink is an example. Her voice and lyrics make me want to vomit, don't know why.

All this Beyonce/Shakira/Soul-stuff means nothing to me, but it doesn't hurt.
Lady Gaga on the other hand has some nice ideas in her videos. Her music means nothing to me as well, but the crutch-dancing scene from "Paparazzi" is genius.

And yes, metal. Some is so hilarious it is great. Other is so serious it becomes great as well. But mostly, it is just noise to me. (the skills are remarkable though, most of the time)

So, Che's a patriot...who would've known.

🤣

Only when it comes to good music. Its not my fault some of the most talented musicians ever lived have been American, its just a coincidence.

I mean, I'm no screhttp://www.mangaupdates.com/images/banner_bottom_919.jpgaming Lady Gaga fan, but even I can admit, Speechless and Brown Eyes are actually really good songs.

I'll be honest though, if I hear Bad Romance one more time I might go insane.

Americans can stick to what they created (I don't know what that is but if it is pop music, they still suck) and leave metal to Europe.

that would be punk, indie rock, grunge and lo-fi, the only music that will ever truly matter.

Punk was originally British. Indie and grunge are merely rock subgenres.

Punk is also a subgenre of rock. :/ And either way you look at it, punk, indie rock, grunge, none of them sound alike at all, and though being subgenres of rock, are unique to themselves. I'm sorry, it's just like you're lumping Layne Staley and John Darnielle in the same category. 😔

And no, punk did not solely come from the British. Yes it did originate the same time it did in America, but just because the two most commercially-raped/famous punk bands are British, doesn't mean they started it.

It's actually funny, considering The Clash incorporated so many elements of reggae in their music, which is from the americas. 🤣 lolska

Aren't Ramones considered to be the first punk band?

Paramore I suppose. I also dislike Mariah Carey, Rihanna, and Ke$ha.

the beatles(and any other band before 1960) because their singing just...sucks. im sorry, but if that guy sang on american idol now he'd be laughed off the stage.

any rap artist except for sean paul(because im always trying to figure out what the heck hes saying)

Ke$ha, Harlequin Jones(i forced myself to listen to one of her songs and it was the most terrible thing in my life. off key, sounds like shes in heat, and the songs make absolutely no sense at all.)

Care to expand on 'sucks'? 😐

Nickleback and Green Day. I used to listen to Nickleback in high school, and their early stuff (really early) is still tolerable, but every other song of theirs is torture. I don't understand how this "music" is popular.

Green Day. Dookie was a good album. I would even call it a classic. But after that, they went way downhill. Especially their more recent stuff (after Warning). They just became a political band. They took what was big at the time (hating George Bush and his policies) and became popular because of that.

I'm just waiting for a musical revolution. In particular with rock music. Rock has been bland since the 90s, maybe early 2000s. Most every rock band that is popular today is garbage.

I second this question.

Perhaps your hearing aid needs tuning.

K$sha or however it's put.
First of all, she has absolutely no talent like the rest of the pop stars. It annoys me how her voice goes high and low like a wave. That's not singing.

Second, all of her songs are about getting drunk and going to parties. Who cares? Everybody knows that people like you go to parties every night and get drunk. I can't believe that little middle schoolers are singing "Tik Tok" like they have no idea what the song is all about.

She just overall annoys me. We really don't need people like her to release more bad music.

Totally agreed. I HATE Green Day with a passion and Nickelback isn't even worthy of the title "artist".

I really hope that revolution comes soon!

All rock, emo and heavy metal bands and songs. Also Nicki Minaj-I hate the way she raps, it sickens me
