oh my answer i came up with this several years ago and still stuck with it
before the existing creature call chicken its ancestor that has the gene that will later become a chicken the first born into a new form would have to be in a egg at first before it arrive as a chicken. So therefore the egg is a first that arrive

This is what I believe as well.

Dinosaurs didn't evolve directly from micro-organisms and neither did chickens. Dinosaurs evolved from primitive forms of reptiles and chickens evolved from other species of birds. In both cases, there were eggs that hatched into the first chicken/dinosaur.

Was the first egg that hatched a chicken a "chicken egg"?. That depends if you define a chicken eggs as "an egg contains a chicken" or "an egg that a chicken laid".
