Its amazing how many people havn't played FFVI considering its been rereleased 2 times since its original debut on SNES. I'm really looking forward to the remake of FFIV on DS and I just pray that Squenix see's fit to give the game with the best story and villian a remake in FFVI.
for that matter I'm actually playing FFVI again on my DS, heh.

🤣
I bet if it were all bishie guys, you would change your mind. 😛
It wasn't that bad, the dress sphere system was quite innovative.
The ending of FFX should have remained like that though.

There was the same stuff in FFV.

Very funny, Doc. Let me take a guess why you liked FFX-2 so much. The only good thing about that game was the dress sphere system.

I know, but... That's old-school. 😛
My brother has it, but I never really played it.
Faris is an awesome character though.

That guess would be wrong. I'm not simple-minded.
I view FF as something holy, so why would I blasphemize it
with unclean thoughts! >:-( 😛
I like each FF, really~

I too refuse to acknowledge the existance of FFX-2.
Yes doc, if it was full of bishie guys, I might've actually liked it. But as things are, I just view it as one awesome collection of dress designs and nothing more.
...where's my FF6? >:-(
After FF6, I guess my faves would be tied: 8 for it's amazing gameplay (Junctions were dead easy, and if you stayed at a low level you could breeze through the entire game), 7 and 10 for it's stories and characters (though I liked the story more in 7, and the graphics in 10). Third place would be the rest that I played (3,4,5...I have yet to finish those though >_>)

I'm not afraid to admit that I loved X-2 for all the wrong reasons (i.e. hot all female party in potentially skimpy outfits). Then again I'm also not afraid to admit that I didn't enjoy both VIII and IX (and I, but who really cares); refused to even try XI or XII and think that IV, V, and VI (and maybe even X) are more enjoyable than VII.
My favorite though is Final Fantasy Tactics, because SRPGs are more my style.
As RPG series go Final Fantasy on average isn't all that special to me.

Some years ago, after spending unbelievable amounts of time playing Diablo II, I searched for some other games where I can level up something. As a PC-only player I never heard of most of the console rpgs. When I read something about Final Fantasy I remembered that some of my classmates once talked about this series. So I gave it a try: I played all of them in the chronological order. The first 5 ones where fun (otherwise I wouldn't have played them all), but not absolutely super overwhelming. Then I reached part VI. This game was the first of the series that completely captivated me and it's still one my favorites. The soundtrack was awesome, too.
I like every part from VII to XII (I never played the online based XI and I consider X-2 as a spin-off). My absolute favorite is X. It brought the classical FF to perfection.

7 has to be my favorite, I loved the story, 10 and 12 are probably next in line but I have yet to play a final fantasy game I didn't like (besides that damned x-2)
Never played the online game either but I understand brainless juvenials pretty much ruin it for everone else.

VII is my pick as the best, though VI is also great, all other fall a bit behind imo.
