Jesus?
I don't know, I really don't think anything of him. It goes blank when I think about him. 🤣 Nothing comes to mind.

The guy who is popular among almost everyone?
Jesus and fratboys: He makes beer out of water. Now fratboys have an unlimited supply of alcohol.
Jesus and nerds: He resurrects Gene Roddenberry to make them happy, of course also Einstein, Newton, and some other guy.

I was glancing through this site and the verses are taken WAY out of context. Though Jesus talks of war and turning on one's own family, He is talking about putting God above everything and the persecution of Christians that would follow that Christians should take quietly, loving those that hurt them.
The important thing in the Bible, or any book, is the context any phrase or sentence is put in and that site doesn't seem to be putting verses in the correct context.
You can like or dislike Jesus all you want, that's your opinion. But look at the original source, not cuttings of some of the things He said with anti-Jesus explanations. Please! Consider the source.

He existed, and he was probably a preacher who spread his religion among people. I think that there are old existing documents that document his cruxification too. But the Bible probably exaggerated the "miracles" that he brought about. It's more what he said rather than what he did. Both of them have been kinda obscured.

Ok, firstly Arab is perfectly acceptable term for those of middle eastern descent and culture. Secondly, I am hardly biased looking at US' current relations with the middle east in general. And to be perfectly honest, most voting Americans are far more ignorant of the situation than I am. Arab does not refer to any particular religion as your above post seemed to suggest. So I submit that you sir are the ignorant one, though I do admit that I am bais.
Very true. You can be arab and still be a jew.

AX, jesus was born in ISRAEL, which is the country i am living in now, and no, israely ppl are not considered arabs, tho some of the citizen groups here (islam and christians) are.
Your right, he was born in Israel. But can you say that people in Israel weren't considered Arab two thousand years ago? Do you know what ethnic group the FIRST Hebrews were? And with all the fighting in the crusades, who knows what the truth is as to how Israel came to be the way it is today. So many lies were told to gain public support, from both sides of the fighting. There are plenty points of view, and I wouldn't trust any them. (except documents from the masons.)
And another thing. Just because he was born in Isreal doesn't mean that he has to be arab. If you remember, Joseph and Mary travelled from Africa to get to Isreal. In other words, If I got some woman pregnant in Africa and moved China, no my baby would not come out looking Chinese. You get my point

You are right, I'm sorry for posting the hastily dug up link, consideration to source must be minded more these days when everyone can publish anything on the internet and claim it to be the truth.
But I was never really serious about what I've said in this thread, because I don't really care who he was or what he said or did not say... And I can't call a person cool unless I meet or talk to them. Only stuff we have on him are descriptions by other people through their eyes and tinted by the culture of a time long ago.
Because of my attitude towards religion in general, I tend to want to poke at people who show signs of defending religion. But I want to keep using this website so I stop here.

Anyway.
Once again, I reiterate that this thread has absolutely nothing to do with the religious implications of Jesus. It has to do with the existance of Jesus as the character of a book (be it non fiction or fiction).
Whether or not you believe in religion or God, the Bible itself exists, and to discuss it and it's characters as if it were a piece of literature and nothing else is the goal of this thread.
Now, I want Jesus to make some fish sandwiches.

Yes Jesus was definitely a cool guy. I'd consider him like a modern day Martin Luther King Junior or Gandhi. But as far as to call him my "Savior" nah.

Yeah he's a cool guy. He died for our sins dude, that's selfless 🙂 Come on, he's like our savior. He's god's son, that's cool enough already.

Jesus is cool with me, even if I don't consider myself Christian per say. People sometimes tell me I look like him.
