I love this manga, I really do, but I have to wonder if there will be a real plot involved. I don't think it can just keep goin on forever like this, or maybe it can... 😲

I don't know... I mean, it doesn't need to have a "real" plot, it might just revolve around Oga, baby Be'el, Hilda and all the things that happens to them (after all, it worked in Ranma 1/2).

Well, whatever the case, I just wish it goes on for at least a few volumes, instead of just suddenly ending.

I don't know about actual plot, but I have a prediction.
At some point someone will show up, complete oposite of oga personality wise, with a naked baby as well.
And this baby will be the son of god.
It seems a logical step to introduce such an antagonist to balance things out.

Well... It kind of already has its plot. He's fighting against the head delinquents. There have been series with that sort of thing as the basis, but I'd say prolly we'll get something more plotty eventually assuming it's not cancelled. Personally I'd love if it remained fairly episodic.

i'd prefer if it didn't have a plot, it's usually funnier that way

So about plot... in Ch. 23, is that Toujou's arm in the second last frame?

It could just go like this.
Not everything needs to revolve
around some guardians of the world
destiny crap.

Plots just mean your characters aren't interesting enough to maintain the story. As for plot, Oga is worried about transforming into some demon man, and it seems that it will mostly center around that.

With this last chapter it seems as though a plot will start to develop.

Seeing as how Toujou seemed to have his own devil mark/pact thing on him.

Then you won't like my story when it comes out. 🤣

But what x0mbiec0rp said is pretty true, That doesn't mean that stories with plots are bad, it's just that if a story starts out as slice-of-life and then turns into a story with a actual, concrete plot, then it does seem that the author was running out of ideas for the characters.

i disagree
plots are not an excuse for a story
a plot is a purpose of a story

i do hope that the plot gets more interesting and adventurous
i really like this manga and would like to see something epic come out of it.
but if not i would still continue reading it
just because its already pulled me in

I wholeheartedly beg to differ.
There are some great works out there
with naught plot line, such as Yotsuba&!
Just series of fortuitous events with little
to no final destination or greater impact
to the story.

well that's why manga are categorized in genres
i think yotsuba&! is a great manga
i like Beelzebub too but
but there isn't manga without a plot every manga has a plot
even if it isn't so straight forward technically every manga has at least one plot.
if it is more like a drama and has more plots.
it is called a serial or a series of plots

i believe Beelzebub will eventually get somewhere more important especially since chap-stick 23 reveals someone new.
but this is just what i hope.
i honestly cant say for sure
kanpai!

I don't think so.

I mean, Oga's mark was completely gone, right?

If I had to guess, I'd say around that time when Baby B'l saw Toujou (chapter 15, page 18), the ownership, pact, or whatever-you-wanna-call-it, was transferred from Oga to Toujou.
