So there hasn't been any releases for quite a while now. Vampire Knights and Eternal Blue hasn't mentioned anything about it their projects being dropped (I think 😕 ) and the series has actually finished so.....unless some groups released their works quietly or...the two group mentioned lost interest in the series. Any of you guys know anything about this?

well the anime stops like around episode 25ish s but the mangas continue thier in volume eight and still going so yeah

finally got a chance to watch the anime, it was good, sticking fairly close to the manga was a good idea, since often animes that go off on their own tend to ruin the story

I LOVE this manga. And the anime is great also <3333

But, the manga isn't finished yet. It's still ongoing and nobody knows when it will end. Currently there are 10 volumes in Japan, and in LaLa magazine the recent chapter was I think chapter 53.

personally, i liked the anime better than the manga, the manga got me a bit bored... 🙄

i never read the manga, but i already know that the anime is better. the humor is there and i'm always on the floor laughing.
also, the artwork is adorable and that's what mainly drew me into this series. but of course the plot was just as captivating, however i must say i was extremely confused the first 5-10 minutes of the first episode.

I noticed that Puri-Puri Neko posted Chapter 40 (Vol 9) yesterday. Volume 9 of Ouran was on sale by Shojo Beat Manga before that release was even made.

What the hell? From what I've seen, Ouran has a huge following, so why the scanlation delay? Is it something like with Genshiken? Were scanlation groups asked to cease?

The large Ouran fansite, For Richer Or Poorer, has some Host Club-related material online. I know there are Lala cover scans, but I don't know if they do the chapters. Also, I believe there is a raw scan of Volume 10 available for torrenting (found it on isohunt quite a bit ago, didn't bother to actually obtain it).

What's the deal? I KNOW people are into this series. It has more fangirls than I care to imagine. With multiple groups handling this series, there has to be a good reason that it stopped so suddenly and for so long. I mean, chapters of Host Club only even come out once a month in Japan, so scanlators could keep up with it if they wanted to.

What's going on, people?

The fact that you were confused speaks worlds about your intelligence. At any rate, Bisco Hatori (Host Club's mangaka) did write the show's scripts. If you like Ouran for the humor, the manga's humor:romance ratio is even higher than that of the show. You should read the manga if you liked the show that much.

Do not ask for scanlators to work faster or whatever on Baka-Updates. Go bother the scanlators, not us on a public forum.

Ouran is licensed, so go buy it. There's really no point to scanlating it. I keep myself updated on the new chapters from people who translate it and give me a summary. There are 10 volumes in Japan, and 9 here. I think we're doing pretty good here.

There are a lot of people who love Ouran, and if you do you would go buy it.
