Okay, now I'm beginning to wonder if it's really necessary to split the editor's job into two parts since I'm pretty sure the typesetters know how to do the cleaners' job and vice versa. I personally prefer to be both cleaner and typesetter (the better to hide my editing flaws and make my job easier :haha 🙂
Of course, that would leave us with an abundance of editors... sighs
@phanzanu How about... Nodame Cantabile Scanlation Team (NCST for short :haha 🙂 Oh, and I would say you're a girl, judging from your avatar. Am I right? Hehe...

yeh you can typeset/edit when everyone gets used to the time schedule etc. but for now lets just go by luiaslirios plan 😀 you can take the part or Rosilyn and she can help me with cleaning-cropping, resizing etc.
typsetting isnt an easy job, well maybe it is, it's just time consuming, the words in the speechbubbles have to be "just right", plus the movment and suddensounds are a pain as well. It has to feel in place and etc. birngs back memories...
@luisalirio how about we use a uploading site for the time being, because a lot of people dont know how to use FTP. I've got badango buddy so i can just upload the file from my comp to my account and you guys can get it off from my account.

btw, do i touch the scan AT ALL? because when i see a little dark mistake my hand can't stop but clean and redraw it TT__TT

I'm supposed to be studying so I'll make it quick:
Yeah I can't use ftp for the moment until fing french telecom do something about that cable. But when they fix it everyone shoould get accuainted with ftp it's more convenient imo. Also Resizing can't be done by you it has to be done by the editors after they've cleaned and before typesetting (otherwise you lose quality).
@chueisha if you see a mistake and you can redraw it properly go ahead. But with hq scans usually only double pages need redrawing. That's all for now

If you like that how about NO DAME CAN SCAN. Or NO DAME CAN SCAN PROPERLY from NODAME CANtabile SCANlation(s) (done) PROject(PERLY). Just teasing. NO CAN SCAN sounds good to me but find out from the rest of the girls and the one guy. 😛

Wow. Many posts... hmm... NO CAN SCAN sounds good, though I think it would be better with an "s". "NO CAN SCANS," since I think we're gonna grow if we become successful with the Nodame Cantabile project.
About the typesetting, the typesetters can do secondary editing so that the text and other stuff would fit properly. The other editors can do the job of making the page sizes uniform and make them presentable and stuff. looks pointedly at chueisha 😁

@ranmaru :: you're right, it kinda reminds me of cats. It's probably because of the "can" part, kinda like cat food in a can. 🤣

*Yep, I'm inexperienced when it comes to group scanlations, but I do typeset my own collection of manga (when I can't read them...) so I'm kinda experienced in a way. hopes to get out of chueisha's supervision someday 🤣
