I gotta say hand to hand combat is my favorite type. Stuff like Holyland, Change Guy, and especially the Grappler Baki series. All that super power up crap that happens in other mangas gets on my nerves, I like it when the fights are fist to fist with no weapons and magic to get in the way. I also really like it when the fights are semi realistic meaning no superhuman strength just a very high skill level of combat.

Mind-games are my favorite, be they in martial arts, weapons fighting or dismantling crime through clever usage of the Law.

I prefer martial arts. I think it shows real combat skills and is enjoyable to look at, though it can't hurt to throw some weapons as long as it doesn't drastically change the outcome of the battle.

Sword fighting or mental matches. Tough choice, that one. Though I chose sword fighting because I simply love how two characters will pause in the middle of a match to explain their attacks to each other, never seeming to get that this gives the opponent - if he/she is smart, at least - the chance to figure out how to nullify said attack. Too funny for words.

Martial arts does include weapons.

Basically swordfights and explosions. Just because.

Martial Arts, of course. As somebody noticed, martial arts include more of the other options. Pesronally, I like sword battles the most, but I am fan also of other cold weapons fights like lances, spears (Sara's sojutsu in Samurai Champloo is unforgetable), and (a top favorite) sclyths.

Battles of minds are also very attractive option, but I'll indulge in the physical aspect in this poll 🙂

Magic and guns are the faster solution type. Not especially attached to the first, the second is good if done well.
