I chose "use it to torture people that piss you off"(cough Language arts teacher cough), because that would really be the only time I use it, but not if it was for something little. But what I would reallydo is put the Death Note into hiding and make friends with the shinigami ^^; (my friends idea, but I'm stealing it, so...Sorry friend >< It's a good idea). I don't think I could kill a person if I wanted to. It's a nice thought sometimes, though. ^^;

But, if I were, I'd probably use it like Light did... I'd have to say I'd be a bit more cautious than him, though. I mean, what if the suspect to a murder is innocent? Light basically went only off of the news, and no one can be completely (well, not even that) certain of someone's guilt [for a crime like that] until after they've been to court and found guilty...

Honestly, I think Light's purpose was one of the best ones, but only if he were forced to use the book. The problem was that he wasn't, so he just ended up committing mass genocide and giving himself a god complex.

I think most people chose make an ideal world is because that's waht they'd like to do. I think in reality, most people'd just become crazied nutjobs in the end because of the enormous amount of power that you can wield with the death note. Thinking realistically, there's no way you'd not use your power for pesonal gain. after all, power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.

If you think about it, a normal person could never try to make an ideal world like Light did. Unless you are a sociopath (hence feeling no remorse or concern for others and having an obsession with your own righteousness) then yeah, have fun before someone decides to stop the mass murderer.

I'd probably destroy it. I don't think my conscience would allow me to kill someone without needing to defend myself.

i would keep it, being able to see a shinigami is good, probably would obtain the eyes too, just to see how long will people live. Won´t use it, probably that would annoy the shinigami, but well, i don´t see the point in using it.
