Anyone who played the Silent Hill game series obviously know about the main plot and have one heck of a mind to play it without being spooked to death. 😲 Anyway, so the game is pretty complicated, not like coughResidentEvilcough. 😀 And the story line is not fully explained either. So one of my many questions is, if you guys even care to answer my comments 😢 ,

why is it that differnt people in Silent Hill sees different things? Like supposely some people see monsters while other people see those things as human. Why? If they are human, then why do they attack people? 😕

😐 😐 but the story line behind Pac Man was pretty straight forward. Eat dots, eat cherries, eat ghosts, and eat dots. 🤣

I think those Japanese game creators are deliberatly making Silent Hill story line incomprehensible. 😐 I also think for the new Silent Hill Series coming out, there should be like, a panda in there. When nightmare time comes, like the main character ride on the panda like a horse. 🤣

I always thought that they saw their fears and the fears of the one who created Silent Hill (I won't put spoilers...). What we see in Silent Hill are twisted manifestations of character traits merged with fairy tale-like qualities.

The nurses, for example, are manifestations of sexual frustration and fear of health workers; they appear in almost every game and represent different fears. In 2 they are closely tied to James' frustration with hospitals and his sexual frustration while his wife was bedridden.

ohh...that makes more sense. How about SH 3 with Heather? She seems pretty innocent. What does she fear?

Have you finished the game? I will make a spoiler.... don't read if you don't want part of the game spoiled. I didn't see this coming when I got to this part.

She is Alessa's 'reincarnation' so she fears what Alessa feared.

Hmm... conjecture but, I think he doesn't like seeing harmed animals. As for the broken neck thing....

if I remember correctly, his father hanged himself.

Pyramid head can represent many things. Remember I can't say I know for sure, similar to reading litterature there are always some variance in interpretation.

The Pyramid head wears clothes similar to executioners in the town modeled after the town's guardian angel/demon... can't remember the name. James is very interested in the town's history and may have invisioned this concept himself. Another interesting thing to note is [spoider alert]

Pyramid head kills and 'rapes' manniquins which are obviously feminine, they also kill Maria - the illusion of James' wife. Note that the manniquins are also rather lifeless (compared to other enemies). They likely represent James' wife (Martha?). If you remember, James kills his wife. The raping represents his sexual frustration during his wife's illness. There are more than one pyramid heads, a new and old one. I guess, using blood imagery, they represent James' initial guilt (old = brown) and revitalized guilt (new=red).

As for the Butcher, different people have different illusions and fears in Silent Hill. The Butcher is very similar to the Pyramid head in appearance and action. He takes a similar role to the executioner modeled after the town's angel/demon (not their god). Some things in Origin show that they are similar monsters. When the cult experiments on Travis and in one of the files (can't remember which even though this is the most recent one I played).

well i only played 2 games of the series. I admit that its spookier than Resident Evil (except RE 1 which started it all) but overall, RE is more enjoyable due to the fact that i can't finish any Silent Hill without consulting a walkthrough (which i hate to do)
