So, I'm taking a road trip to San Diego in November.

Anyone got any exciting roadtrips in the future, or ones of the past?

Err.... half my life has been a road-trip (road-plane-rail trip to be exact).

But yeah... had lots in the past..... best was when living in London and me and mates took trips to Germany to ride at the Nurburgring.... scary place, that.

Living in Japan and not being able to read road signs (GPS was rare back then) always leads to long road trips.... 🤣

Hmm.... first one was just plain terrifying.... the bumps there are crazy when riding at speed.... took it embarrassingly slow.... had geezers in old VW Golfs passing me (insert facepalm here)..... then as I got more mileage on it... the speed came with confidence..... cracked 11:00 minutes by the end of that day..... me and mates took a ride in the "Ring Taxi" that afternoon.... a BMW M5 driven by a veteran driver.... crazy shit man.... roller coasters don't even come close.

Subsequent rides there were better..... stickier tires helped as well..... I was close to the 8:30 minute mark on my 6th trip there.... not lap record pace, but still pretty good by tourist standards.... but u still never get over the bumps..... teeth cracking.

Had a couple of drives in cars as well.... one of em was a Caterham 7 (google it).... bloody amazing experience, I tell you.... not quite sportsbike pace, but very enjoyable.

NOTE:
This was way before they had the Nurburgring included in Gran Turismo.... so I had absolutely zero track knowledge on my first time.

P.S... passing fat blokes in Italian supercars on the German Autobahn is pretty good for the ego as well. 🤣

hell, going to the store with him is a road trip.

his engine is in the back...and doors open the wrong way...

but i did a lot of traintriping...

I hate road trips, I get car sick all the time. And there was that one time I had to crouch in the boot of a car for four hours on a family trip.
My shoulder and neck were crooked for weeks after that. o_0

I love road trips with my friends.
Plain awesome.

I drive back a forth from Atlanta to NY every year. Time really flies if you have a GOOD Sound system in your car, and some music thats worthy of the to use the power.

Oh, and on topic. My friends and I once saw a ghost while on a road trip from Manila to Tagaytay. That was fun.
