I believe in "god". However the "god" I believe in was created by man, to explain their current existence. So I have no religious faith in Her (if god does reveal itself to humanity are a real creature I firmly believe it would be female, hypothetically speaking.)
Sounds exactly like my belief 😲
Well, I don't really think it has a gender. I just perfer to think of it as a "woman".

So nobody is taking Dogbert's stance on god? The theory that simple things advance and grow to make more complex things, basically implying that a more sophisticated form would be our future, and not our past. Using this reasoning it is implied god is our future NOT our past. Try not to think about it to hard and it makes perfect sense.

That's interesting theory, but the question is - in what way god is our future? Will we ourselfs become gods - so high technological power, that we would be able to do with alien civilizations that, what as many believe marsians have been doing to us, respectivaly we will become gods to them.
OR
Some one of us will be the god (aka. Big Brother), and will have the absolut control over others.

In the end, I don't care if there is a god or not.
I just live my life as all people should. Not clinging onto some hope that a greater being will help you, because it won't happen.

Ok, enjoy your perfect being with no physical body who needed to rest after creating the universe.

you dont have to be sarcastic. do you see me making fun of what you believe in or dont believe in? no. its called respect even if you dont agree.
well, i agree a person should respect other person beliefs even if he/she disagrees, because beliefs are subjective, and that means that if someone does belive in something that thing he/she believes is valid for him/her, that is it´s "true" for him/she. So two individuals with diferent beliefs arguing with each other is somehow pointless since each other (if the belief is strong enough) will stick to his/her beliefs like glue. That is why beliefs are out of the way of rational argumentation, and so is God´s existence or not.
Believing in something doesn´t give us the right to impose our own beliefs.

believing in God is okay, but religion failed us the moment it put men into position of power above other men. religion is just the basis for not being an ASS. so if ur a genuine good person, who's not an ass, who does not believe and or have heard of God, good things will still happen. who's gonna deny a swell guy just cuz of ignorance?

I believe that there is a higher authority above us all and yes I have named him as God, but I simply don't believe in following a religion. Unfortunately my parents are too religious.
