Hello~ I'm looking for one series in particular, but also open to suggestions of series with similar themes!

The specific manga I'm looking for is of a psychopathic/sociopathic male character who I think was an antagonist? In a highschool flashback, it's revealed that he had a soft spot for this blond girl with freckles who I think also had braids.

Eventually, something happens to the blond girl and she's killed off and the psychopathic character goes a bit crazy? Hopefully that's descriptive enough haha

I would also love recommendations if anyone had any! The genders of both the sociopath and the cared-for individual don't matter to me, only that the "sociopath" has one person (or group/family?) as their one weakness~ Romantic or platonic also doesn't matter!

Most recent one I've read is Death Game Manga no Kuromaku Satsujinki no Imouto ni Tensei shite Shippaishita. Another example that isn't anime would be the TV series "Wednesday".
