Thanks for the recommendation Daed, I already read Tomie and liked that one a lot. The live action movie was kinda a disappointment tho.

I hardly believe that those mangas are what vinceasuma is looking for. (Tomie is creepy and Uzumaki is kind of disturbing but I remember most of Junji Ito's works not for their "fearful" material, but for their strong melancholic finals.) They look like a kid's manga when they're compared with any Guro manga and since he said that he had read some Guro one-shots I think that they're too "soft" and "childlike" to his taste...
I was looking for any recommendation. So [extends hand for shakes and appreciates the lesson]. I already said I wasn't looking for sex gore stuff, and apologized for getting the genre name wrong. I would still like to hear any recommendation on whatever anyone thinks I would like.

Well, "gross" is a very relative term...
Let see, the only thing that comes to my mind at this moment which could be considered "gross" by most people and that could be read by anyone are the works of the so-called "master of the macabre": Hideshi Hino. His works are very popular in Japan (He has published more than 400 manga titles in his prolific career as mangaka) but sadly, he is practically unknown in the West.
(I don't know if his mangas are gross enough for you, so in this page you can find some samples of his work.)

What are some good guro stuff?
I personally don't like the sexy stuff and prefer to see violence. Like Ichi the Killer and Suicide Club style.
I guess because I saw a bunch of messed up stuff while in the military so normal things don't make me feel feelings anymore. I need to watch the extreme stuff but not sure why I like it so much.
Does Ringu and Juon count as Guro? I like this kind of extreme horror too.
Anybody think of anything to add to this discussion?
i prefer both. the sexiness and the violence. i love the feeling when blood spills on your face. i also love it to see sexy girls. don't like them naked though, just sexy.
Let's get Kickin' ...whatever that means

Don't know if you'll like it, but I remember readingTokyo Akazukin about a year ago and thinking it was similar to Ichi the killer in a way. Can't remeber the details... goes to download Tokyo Akazukin

Anything by Uziga Waita , is a good read. Allthough disturbing. Shintaro Kago does have guro in his work along with Juan Gotoh. A word of warning would be to not leave this kind of work on your computer depending the legalality of having in the country you are in. You can also google search "Gurochan". It has a lot more stories on this topic.
Guro is a term coined in the japanese manga industry it is the snuff films for manga. Guro is almost nearly all the time Ero-Guro, as it always involves a girl, some times a man. Death Panda, School girl in concreate are some good one.

Another short read is When All's Said And Done. Very Guro, very short. Don't go looking for the niceties some semi guro artists use. It's just pure fetish filth.
Oh. And School Girl in Concrete is based on a true story. xD Wiki it.

New ones to suggest:
Hell Season
Hole of the Flesh
This is Art
Drainage City
Bizarre Picture book
Favorite thus far is Hell Season just for how varied the many artists involved are. :3

Hmmm... some of the series listed sound very interesting, I guess I should catch up on them. 🙂
Yep, Hell Season is really good... I knew I had to add it to the database.
