Since he used the clones to make up for his lacking of chakra control, I think he would be able to do it single handed now that he can use sage mode. He certainly surpased Jiraiya, so it would be strange for him not to be able to. Well, I think that sage sparring will involve sage techniques learning too. So I think Naruto will end up pretty powered up, specially since he will be the one to defeat Pain, I think.

that seems like a whole different matter to me. if all it could take was sage arts to do such a thing, than a large amount of the Jinchuuriki's would know pretty much the same thing. so for him to fully unleash the Kyuubi without any problems he's gonna have to learn something else.

They rushed naruto's training, but overall it was better than sasuke. After months of training chapters with little to no improvements he just gets the hang of it in one chapter.

That's not necessarily BS for some people it just clicks one day and everything works.
But I have to say decent chapter, though Kishi must be sick he forgot to put the main character in...oh wait the title of the manga isn't Sasuke...I think Shikamaru might just figure out the clue to beat Pain before he completely annihilates the village, now whether he is the one that acts on it or if he relays it to someone stronger is yet to be seen.

It shows here that some kind of grass pile got cut up in half. That would most likely indicate that it was some sort of disk attack that did the damage...

Sage mode will definitely grant him an extra boost of strength (maybe even speed). I mean, he barely got fazed when he fell down from those rocks.
It's very likely that Pein will fight the next chapter, I'm curious to what kind of abilities the Female Pain has. Bleh, I want to see more of the Cloud ninjas though~
That being said, I don't think Naruto should aim for trying to control the Kyuubi. After all, Sasuke supressed it once, and he might be able to do that again, since the Uchiha and the Kyuubi seem to have a long history.
I still wonder what the Kyuubi meant, with not killing Naruto...
@Star: Naruto completely obliterated Sasuke in terms of power between the Gaara fight and before the Sound Nins came. So, yes Naruto was clearly stronger than Sasuke at some point. That was the whole reason that Sasuke went to Orochimaru in the first place.
P.S.: That's probably is Ino's father. Makes me wonder if Ino will play a further role into this, if her father gets hurt somehow by trying to penetrate the Genjutsu Defence.
Also no one mentioned this. They're actually extracting those pin-like things and examining them and the Pein Body. They might obtain a vital clue from that.

Orochimaru had an army with him though, aside from that he occupied the commander (Sarutobi) so no good orders were being made. but all together though it was a relatively easy fight for them since no civilian casualties took place during the battle. no only that didn't they have some top level Jounin beating the crap out of a large percentage of Orochimaru's army? Pein's not going to cause a massacre, unless he's in some closed quarters handling his fight.
